The high art of viticulture and the high art of music – the Berlin pianist Beatrix Becker brings them close together. Becker composes all her songs herself, and was inspired by the Argentinian red wine Trapiche Melodias Malbec to compose a classical piece of music. It is part of her third studio album PHOENIX. On fire for a musical fairy tale, the pianist soars to undreamt-of heights! In the official CD presentation it says: “Recorded in the legendary Hansa studios, Becker’s songs, composed for grand piano, bass clarinet and three (!) cellos, are about passing away and becoming, endings and new beginnings, dreams, hopes and courage. Playing with fire, Becker and her colleagues Gregor Fuhrmann, Daniel Hoffmann, Sebastian Selke (violoncellos) and special guest Cora Venus Lunny (violin) explore the tensions inherent in tango, klezmer, flamenco and jazz. Those who appreciate the music of Giora Feidman, John Williams, Paco de Lucia, Astor Piazzolla, Didier Squiban or Ludovico Einaudi won’t want to miss the stimulating heat of this dance!”But where does the love for the Trapiche Melodias Malbec come from? As a bandleader, Beatrix Becker recorded several CDs and performed at more than one hundred concerts and festivals a year in Europe and Israel, playing with renowned artists including Raul Jaurena, Helmut Eisel and Giora Feidman. In 2012, Becker followed her instinct and went to Buenos Aires. In this buoyant, somewhat old-fashioned metropolis, she found the ideal retreat to record her first solo CD, entitled “Melody of Love”.

Bereits 1919 startete die Familie Marcati mit der Produktion von Likören und Spirituosen, um heute in der 3. und 4. Generation weltweit ihre Produkte zu vertreiben. Limitiert und edel verpackt wurde dieser Grappa aus dem Trester der Rebsorten Corvina und Rondinella gebrannt. Diese Rebsorten werden für die Produktion von Amarone Weinen verwendet und geben dem Grappa somit seinen Namen. Bernsteinfarbig und mild im Geschmack duftet der 100 Marcati Grappa di Amarone Riserva Centenario wunderbar aromatisch. Die Reifung erfolgte für 18 Monate in kleinen Eichenfässern. Nicht nur für Hundertjährige geeignet, lässt sich mit diesem ausgewöhnlichen Grappa Eindruck bei jeder Gelegenheit erzielen.

The LBV (Late Bottled Vintage) matured for many years in large oak casks, leading to well-rounded tannins, simultaneously keeping its full body and fruitiness.The Churchill’s Late Bottled Vintage is a real delight simply on its own to finish off a meal. It also goes beautifully with chocolate desserts or tangy cheeses such as Stilton and Camembert as well.We recommend decanting this port wine two hours before drinking it. Please stand the bottle upright several hours before decanting it.

The Churchill's Dry White Port is a shimmering gold in the glass. It is velvety and complex on the palate, with a lovely freshness and a long, slightly peppery finish.In the Wine Advocate, Mark Squires awards the Churchill’s Dry White Port 91 points. The wine critic admits that very dry port wines are not exactly his favourite wines. In this case, however, the taste experience convinced him.The port wine is a blend consisting of diverse grape varieties such as Malvasia Fina, Rabigato, Cadega and Viosinho. You’ll enjoy discovering this elegant and very harmonious Churchill’s Dry White as a sophisticated aperitif. It also goes beautifully with starters with mild cheeses, tangy cheeses and blue cheese as well. In addition, it is a wonderful accompaniment to smoked salmon, olives or roasted almonds.
