Chateau de Malle Sauternes AOC 2003

The Chateau de Malle Sauternes AOC 2003 offers notes of orange peel, mirabelles, caramel, honey, dried pineapple and walnuts. René Gabriel awards this wine 18 out of 20 points and assesses it as follows: ‘The wine is creamy, velvety and lush on the palate, with lots of suppleness and an impressive finish. This is a very harmonious de Malle!’. The Wine Spectator writes about a full body, ‘with lots of sweetness and a long finish that is characterised by notes of vanilla, apples and slightly spicy nuances as well’. This sweet wine is a reliable, outstanding taste experience, which was awarded a high mark of 92 points.

Chateau de Malle Sauternes AOC 2012

Der berühmte Dessertwein duftet nach Zitronencreme, Brioche, reifen gelben Früchten und Akazienhonig. Am Gaumen ist der Château de Malle Sauternes AOC cremig und mineralisch. Neal Martin bescheinigt dem Süßwein zu Beginn eine gewisse Bitterkeit.Die Kritiker sind sich einig, dass es sich um einen Sauternes von hoher Qualität handelt, ob er allerdings allerhöchsten Ansprüchen genügt, darin besteht Uneinigkeit. René Gabriel (18 von 20) frohlockt: „Aufhellendes Gelb, einen grünlichen Schimmer zeigend. Dichtes, süsses Bouquet, Agrumenschimmer, Zitronenraspel, passende Mineralik und eine stützende Botrytis. Im Gaumen sehr fruchtig, traubiges Extrakt, klar ausgerichtet. Toll selektioniert!"

Chateau de Malle Sauternes AOC 2018

The Chateau de Malle Sauternes AOC offers intense notes of citrus fruit and, according to René Gabriel, lots of freshly extracted honey. This Sauternes is fresh, creamy and invigorating on the palate, underpinned by a lovely acidity. Twenty-five per cent of this assemblage, consisting mainly of Sémillon and almost one third of Sauvignon Blanc, was aged in new oak casks. Neil Martin awards this wine 91-93 points in Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate and writes, amongst other things, ‘This is simply a Sauternes of top quality, both elegant and graceful.’ René Gabriel awards this wine 18 out of 20 points and assesses it as follows: ‘With regard to the nose, this is one of the most sumptuous Sauternes. It is creamy on the palate, with lots of suppleness and a wonderfully fruity finish. The Chateau de Malle Sauternes AOC easily keeps pace with the great wines!’You’ll enjoy this dessert wine with spicy dishes such as chicken curry or duck with peaches. It is also a good accompaniment to various cheeses such as Stilton or Roquefort and goes beautifully with salads with strawberries and basil.
