The Cantina Andrian Lagrein Rubeno matured for six months in oak casks and underwent natural malolactic fermentation during this time. On the nose, the pure varietal Lagrein from South Tyrol offers impressive aromas of ripe berries, violets and dark chocolate. The Cantina Tramin Lagrein Rosso unites notes of violets and blackberries in its bouquet. On the palate, the red wine from South Tyrol is full-bodied and velvety, with slightly dry nuances. This wine made from Lagrein, the South Tyrolean autochthonous grape variety, is a ruby to dark garnet in colour.Red wines of this vintage are elegant and harmonious. A wet summer with only a few hours of sunshine required a late harvest. This late harvest is made possible for the winery by the vineyards located in alpine regions and the cooperative system which allows the Cantina Tramin estate to procure the very best grapes from various vineyards.The result of the meticulous harvest is a high-quality Lagrein that goes beautifully with game dishes, dark meat and hard cheeses.

Cantina Tramin Urban Lagrein Riserva DOC 2021

With the Urban Lagrein Riserva, you’ll enjoy one of the best red wines from South Tyrol. It is a dense violet-black in colour, and redolent of violets, blackberries and black currants. The wine is full-bodied, velvety and well-structured on the palate, showing astringent nuances so typical of the Lagrein grapes. The Urban Lagrein Riserva has an impressive depth, with gently integrated tannins. Peter Zemmer Furggl Lagrein Reserve DOC 2021

In the South Tyrolean “Unterland”, in the middle of the valley, surrounded by orchards and vineyards near the river Adige lies the traditional winery Peter Zemmer. The Lagrein Reserve is a wonderful creation from the autochthonous variety.The characterful red wine has a garnet red color with purple hues. On the nose, a gorgeous multifaceted bouquet, with notes of violets, dark chocolate, berries, licorice and vanilla. On the palate, velvety, with a clear structure and supple, soft tannins.The wine comes from selected individual vineyards. 15 months the Lagrein Reserve matured in barrique-barrels, after the assemblage ten months in large oak barrels. This was followed by a six-month aging on the bottle. The wine is thanks to this long maturation phase remarkably balanced.Enjoy this fine wine with red meats, game dishes or spicy cheese.

"Raut" refers to a particular vineyard of the winery Peter Zemmer. In the South Tyrolean “Unterland”, a part of the Adige Valley in South Tyrol, grow the Lagrein grapes for this wine. Lagrein Raut has a ruby red color. On the nose, the wine offers intense, complex, spicy flavors. There is also a fresh aroma of wild berries and violets. Terlan Gries Lagrein Riserva DOC 2021

The 100% Lagrein from the Alto Adige winery Cantina Terlan has a strong ruby to garnet color with violet hues. On the nose, earthy and mineral notes that harmonize beautifully with fruity flavors. In addition notes of sour cherries and plum jam. On the palate: peaty and spicy yet fruity. Notes of bitter chocolate and violet contribute to the complex richness and complexity of the wine. The Gries Lagrein Riserva DOC comes from a classic Lagrein location in Bolzano. The wine was aged for 12 months partly in large oak barrels (70%) and partly in barriques (30%). For the maturation in the oak barrels one third new barrels were used. Enjoy the wine with red meat in spicy sauce or braised veal cheeks with root vegetables.
