The Anthonij Rupert Protea Rosé is a classic rosé in the Provence style. The grapes were selected by hand and aged in stainless steel tanks. Afterwards, they remained in contact with the yeast for some time in order to develop the aroma to the fullest. The Anthonij Rupert Protea Rosé is a pale pink to red in the glass. This rosé is impressively fruity and offers aromas of raspberries and peach in its bouquet, along with nuances of apple blossoms.The palate is characterised by a great juiciness and a lovely, fresh acidity, showing noticeable aromas of strawberries, raspberries, other ripe berries and citrus peel. The lightness and liveliness of the Protea Rosé make it a captivating pleasure to drink – and not only in summer. This lovely rosé is an excellent accompaniment to seafood, white fish, braised salmon or soft cheeses.

Der Babylonstoren Babel Red Blend ist ein Rotwein aus Südafrika, der mit nahezu 50 % vor allem von der Rebsorte Shiraz (Syrah) geprägt ist. Der hochwertige, in französischem Eichenholz ausgebaute Blend wird von Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot und Pinotage vervollständigt. Das Ergebnis ist ein Rotwein, der im Endergebnis des Jahrgangs 2021 „bewundernswert“ ist. Dieses Urteil stammt von Christine Rudman, die dem Babel Red Blend in John Platter’s Wine Guide 4 von 5 Sternen verleiht. Das intensive, komplexe Bouquet des rubinroten Weins vereint Noten von Kirschen, Brombeeren, Maulbeeren und Pflaumen. Diese Fruchtigkeit harmoniert wunderbar mit Noten von Vanille, dunkler Schokolade sowie tragenden Eichennoten. Rudman erkennt „dunkle Früchte, Tabak und herzhafte Gewürze“.Am Gaumen ist der Babylonstoren Babel Red Blend trocken und meisterhaft ausgewogen. Die Assemblage besitzt einen vollen Körper, angenehm weiche Tannine und eine dichte Struktur. Das Aromenspiel wird geprägt von saftigen, schwarzen Früchten, die wundervoll harmonieren mit Aromen von Tabak und Graphit. „Das Tanninrückgrat gibt Definition und Fokus“, urteilt Rudman. Auch der Mourvèdre Rosé von Babylonstoren macht einfach Spaß. Er ist der perfekte Begleiter für unbeschwerte Stunden. Dieser südafrikanische Rosé duftet anregend nach Erdbeeren, Rosenblättern und Wassermelone. Vielschichtige, intensiv fruchtige Noten von getrockneten Kirschen, dunklen Pflaumen und Datteln prägen das Bouquet des Bouchard Finlayson Hannibal 2020. Der faszinierend komplexe Duftstrauß bietet darüber hinaus Noten von Tabak und grünen Oliven, dazu Nuancen von Trüffel und Menthol.In John Platter’s Wine Guide erhält dieser Rotwein aus Südafrika 93 Punkte. Kritikerin Cathy Marston erkennt Kirschfrucht, Leder, Wild und Würze.Auch am Gaumen hinterlässt dieser ungewöhnliche Blend aus 41% Sangiovese, 26% Nebbiolo, 10% Barbera, 9% Shiraz, 8% Pinot Noir, 6% Mourvedre Eindruck. Der trockene Rotwein aus dem Hemel-en-Aarde-Tal, unweit der Walker Bay im Südatlantik, hat einen mittleren Körper und zugleich eine wunderbar anregende Säure. Die geschmeidigen Tannine sind gekonnt eingebunden. Das Finale wird von einer schönen Würze getragen und klingt noch lange nach. Noch bis 2032 ist der Bouchard Finlayson Hannibal ein Hochgenuss.Die einzelnen, akribisch gelesenen Rebsorten wurden separat in französischen Eichenfässern ausgebaut, in denen sie fast ein Jahr lang heranreiften. Dabei kamen zu fast einem Viertel neue Fässer zum Einsatz. Nach zahlreichen Tastings kreierte Bouchard Finlayson dann einen finalen Blend, der noch einige Monate nachreifte, bevor er in Flaschen abgefüllt wurde.Die Namensgebung leitet sich etwas speziell her: Da in diesem südafrikanischen Rotwein prägende Rebsorten des Weinbaus in Italien und Frankreich assembliert werden, soll der Name Hannibal an den karthagischen Feldherrn erinnern. Er überquerte in einem legendären Feldzug mit einer größeren Zahl an Elefanten im dritten Jahrhundert vor Christus die Alpen von Frankreich nach Italien, um einem römischen Angriff zuvorzukommen (Zweiter Punischer Krieg).Der Bouchard Finlayson Hannibal 2020 ist eine herausragende Komposition des südafrikanischen Weinbaus. Der rubinrote Wein zeichnet sich auch dadurch aus, dass er ein vielseitig einsetzbarer Essensbegleiter ist. Entdecken Sie ihn zum Beispiel zur indischen Küche oder zu Ziegenkäse auf Brioche-Toast. Wer etwas Außergewöhnliches probieren möchte: Auch zu Fisch Vindaye, typisch für die Küche in Mauritius, ist der Rotwein aus der Provinz Westkap ein idealer Begleiter. Aber auch die klassische, würzige italienische Küche bietet sich an.

Made from the oldest vines of this legendary estate, which are in fact still ungrafted, the cuvée consists of 75% Mourvedre, 10% Grenache, 10% Syrah and 5% Counoise. In fact, one can only genuflect before this wine, as it is the intrinsically flawless essence of what constitutes an elegant and exceptional representative of the Rhône region. The 2018 Hommage Perrin Beaucastel Châteauneuf is an iconic wine and its complexity, finesse and breed are awe-inspiring.  This starts on the nose, which combines such an intensive depth of dark berry with floral notes, cherry, peach and mango as well as a beautiful minerality that you'll constantly be discovering new, remarkably dense and intricately interwoven aromas.  This continues on the palate with great depth and freshness, still dominated by the fragrant fruit and framed with a bit of salt, licorice, and strong yet exquisite and sophisticated tannins.  The finish approaches infinity and once again reflects the concentration that we have already experienced on the palate.  This wine is a marathon runner and requires several more years of ageing in the cellar to ensure that you can fully appreciate its superlative hedonism.  However, as already predicted, it will also bring joy to the heirs of today's wine connoisseurs with its longevity.The wine critics are raving about the Hommage Perrin Beaucastel Châteauneuf 2018:  Parker: 99/100; Jeb Dunnuck: 97/100; Decanter: 97/100; Galloni: 97/100.

Die Ernte konnte ohne Zeitdruck erfolgen, so dass Plot für Plot im Hinblick auf die beste Reife geerntet werden konnte.75% Mourvèdre, 10% Syrah, 10% Grenache und 5% Counoise bilden die Cuvée, die von großartiger Komplexität, reich von schwarzen Früchten, reifen Orangen, Zigarre, Frühlingsblumen und viel Gewürzen ist. An dieser Stelle sei James Suckling zitiert, der dem Rebsaft "Myriaden von Nuancen" zuschreibt. "Stylisch und verführerisch" nennt ihn der Decanter, während Robert Parker ihm sogar Aussichten auf einen dreistelligen Score prophezeit.Ein herausragender Châteauneuf-du-Pape, mit entsprechend sagenhaften Bewertungen:James Suckling 99/100; Decanter: 98/100; Robert Parker: 97-99/100.

This classic Côtes du Rhône of the exceptional 2017 vintage is produced by one of the oldest wineries of the Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation (AOC) that was founded in 1936. The Château La Nerthe estate had its origins in the 14th century and owns one of the region’s largest vineyards, covering an area of more than 222 acres.Tradition and attention to detail are of central importance. The grapes are harvested by hand and subsequently sorted on the table. The fermentation is carried out in tubs for a period of 18 to 21 days with regular pumping over and pressing down of the pomace as well as daily tasting of the must in order to reach the optimal extraction level. For malolactic fermentation, the Château La Nerthe Châteauneuf-du-Pape 2017 was put in oak casks and subsequently aged in barrels for 12 months, giving the wine its deep red colour. On the nose, it offers fragrances of black currants, black tea and dried flowers. The wine is full-bodied, fruity and very rich on the palate, showing a great body. All in all, the Château La Nerthe Châteauneuf-du-Pape 2017 has a very pure and intense character.We recommend enjoying this wonderful Châteauneuf-du-Pape with lamb, beef or duck.

Die „Cuvée des Cadettes“ vom Château La Nerthe ist auch im Jahrgang 2016 ein französischer Rotwein von Weltrang. 93+ Punkte in Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate und gar 97+ Punkte vom US-Weinkritiker Jeb Dunnuck sprechen für sich. Die Assemblage aus 59% Grenache Noir, 31% Syrah und 10% Mourvèdre bietet Weingenuss, der allerhöchsten Ansprüchen spielerisch genügt.Das Bouquet der Cuvée des Cadettes 2016 duftet einnehmend nach Schwarzkirsche, schwarzer Johannisbeere und süßen Gewürzen. Auch reife Brombeeren und Pfeffer bereichern den Duftstrauß. Joe Czerwinski urteilt im Wine Advocate, dass der Blend Noten von Zeder und Röstaromen habe, dazu Vanille und Backgewürze. Mit mehr Luft „kommen etwas Cola und dunkle Beerennoten zum Vorschein“.Am Gaumen ist der Rotwein aus dem legendären Anbaugebiet Châteauneuf-du-Pape trocken, frisch und ausgewogen, mit einer tollen Aromentiefe (Brombeeren und Graphit). Die Tannine sind perfekt ausgereift und meisterhaft integriert. Der tief rubinrote Wein besitzt eine außergewöhnliche Länge. „Es scheint, dass der Wein das erforderliche Gewicht und die Fülle hat, um die 28% neuen Barriques zu tragen, die für seinen Ausbau verwendet werden“, findet Czerwinski.Er empfiehlt auch: „Geben Sie ihm noch ein paar Jahre Zeit und trinken Sie ihn in den nächsten zwei Jahrzehnten.“ Bis 2040 ist der „Cuvée des Cadettes“ vom Château La Nerthe ein Hochgenuss-Garant. 12 Monate reifte der Rotwein im Eichenholz. Erst einige Jahre nach ihrer Abfüllung in die Flaschen können Weinliebhaberinnen und -liebhaber dann diese Spitzencuvée erwerben.

This Côtes du Rhône Villages AOP is an extraordinary wine. The team of the La Nerthe winery, which has been based in the Châteauneuf-du-Pape region since the 14th century, maintains the Les Cassagnes vineyards located in Sérignan-du-Comtat, France. The grapes for this wine are selected exclusively from the best parcels of land. The soil consists of sand, clay and limestone, providing natural filtration and creating full-bodied, well-balanced wines.The grapes come from vines with an average age of more than 40 years. This cuvée consists mainly of Grenache Noir, Shiraz and a smaller percentage of Mourvèdre.The grapes are harvested by hand and undergo a further selection process upon arrival in the cellar. Subsequently, the grape varieties are fermented separately for a period of three weeks. The extraction is carried out very carefully in order to maintain the fruit aromas and to preserve a good tannin structure. Before bottling, the wine finally matures for 9 months in stainless steel tanks, remaining in contact with the yeast.The Les Cassagnes AOP Côtes du Rhône Villages Rouge is a deep, dark red in colour. On the palate, it impresses wine connoisseurs with an appealing body that’s not overly full, showing a very silky texture. Aromas of red berries, wonderful notes recalling perfume and sweet nuances of spices lead to an exquisite, prolonged finish.Served at a drinking temperature of 14-16°C (57.2-60.8 °F), the Les Cassagnes goes beautifully with grilled lamb or beef, pasta Bolognese or ratatouille. We recommend enjoying this wine with ‘Tian’, a vegetable gratin speciality from the Provence region, made of tomatoes, courgettes, aubergines, thyme and oregano. Simply delicious!
