This rosé from Château d'Esclans is phenomenal. Fragrant notes of mango and nectarine on the nose. On the palate, spicy and minerally with impressive depth. The finish is exceptionally long. An unforgettable rosé of Côtes de Provence, created mainly of Grenache and a minor proportion Rolle (Vermentino).The grapes for the Château d'Esclans Garrus come from vines that are at least 80 years old. For this rosé the Saignée method was used (90% free run juice, 10% first slight pressing). Eight months matured the wine in oak barrels, with regular bâtonnage, the stirring of the lees. The Wine Spectator writes: "Shows impressive length and precision. A gorgeous rose. "Château d'Esclans Garrus: A rosé at Grand Cru level, and it remains unique in Provence. Nun kommt der Chateau d’Esclans The Pale hinzu. Und wieder gelingt es Lichine einen Rosé anzubieten, der in jeder Hinsicht heraussticht und Eindruck hinterlässt.Das Bukett ist herrlich fruchtig-frisch und intensiv. Es bietet Noten von geschnittenem Apfel, Pfirsich und pinker Grapefruit, von Zitrone und Wassermelone sowie Nuancen von Ananas. Am Gaumen ist der knochentrockene Rosé weich und bemerkenswert aromatisch. Genießerinnen und Genießer können sich auf ein tolles Aromenspiel von Maracuja,  Minze und Limette freuen. Made from the oldest vines of this legendary estate, which are in fact still ungrafted, the cuvée consists of 75% Mourvedre, 10% Grenache, 10% Syrah and 5% Counoise. In fact, one can only genuflect before this wine, as it is the intrinsically flawless essence of what constitutes an elegant and exceptional representative of the Rhône region. The 2018 Hommage Perrin Beaucastel Châteauneuf is an iconic wine and its complexity, finesse and breed are awe-inspiring.  This starts on the nose, which combines such an intensive depth of dark berry with floral notes, cherry, peach and mango as well as a beautiful minerality that you'll constantly be discovering new, remarkably dense and intricately interwoven aromas.  This continues on the palate with great depth and freshness, still dominated by the fragrant fruit and framed with a bit of salt, licorice, and strong yet exquisite and sophisticated tannins.  The finish approaches infinity and once again reflects the concentration that we have already experienced on the palate.  This wine is a marathon runner and requires several more years of ageing in the cellar to ensure that you can fully appreciate its superlative hedonism.  However, as already predicted, it will also bring joy to the heirs of today's wine connoisseurs with its longevity.The wine critics are raving about the Hommage Perrin Beaucastel Châteauneuf 2018:  Parker: 99/100; Jeb Dunnuck: 97/100; Decanter: 97/100; Galloni: 97/100.

Nach biodynamischen Prinzipien hergestellt, ist auch der 2020er die Essenz dessen, was man als reinsten und wahrsten Ausdruck seines Terroirs verstehen kann. 2020 war kein so heisses Jahr wie 2019 an der südlichen Rhône, bot aber keine schwierigen Wetterverhältnisse, sondern ein konstantes, leicht windiges Klima. Die Ernte konnte ohne Zeitdruck erfolgen, so dass Plot für Plot im Hinblick auf die beste Reife geerntet werden konnte.75% Mourvèdre, 10% Syrah, 10% Grenache und 5% Counoise bilden die Cuvée, die von großartiger Komplexität, reich von schwarzen Früchten, reifen Orangen, Zigarre, Frühlingsblumen und viel Gewürzen ist. An dieser Stelle sei James Suckling zitiert, der dem Rebsaft "Myriaden von Nuancen" zuschreibt. "Stylisch und verführerisch" nennt ihn der Decanter, während Robert Parker ihm sogar Aussichten auf einen dreistelligen Score prophezeit.Ein herausragender Châteauneuf-du-Pape, mit entsprechend sagenhaften Bewertungen:James Suckling 99/100; Decanter: 98/100; Robert Parker: 97-99/100.

This classic Côtes du Rhône of the exceptional 2017 vintage is produced by one of the oldest wineries of the Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation (AOC) that was founded in 1936. The Château La Nerthe estate had its origins in the 14th century and owns one of the region’s largest vineyards, covering an area of more than 222 acres.Tradition and attention to detail are of central importance. The grapes are harvested by hand and subsequently sorted on the table. The fermentation is carried out in tubs for a period of 18 to 21 days with regular pumping over and pressing down of the pomace as well as daily tasting of the must in order to reach the optimal extraction level. For malolactic fermentation, the Château La Nerthe Châteauneuf-du-Pape 2017 was put in oak casks and subsequently aged in barrels for 12 months, giving the wine its deep red colour. On the nose, it offers fragrances of black currants, black tea and dried flowers. The wine is full-bodied, fruity and very rich on the palate, showing a great body. All in all, the Château La Nerthe Châteauneuf-du-Pape 2017 has a very pure and intense character.We recommend enjoying this wonderful Châteauneuf-du-Pape with lamb, beef or duck.

Die „Cuvée des Cadettes“ vom Château La Nerthe ist auch im Jahrgang 2016 ein französischer Rotwein von Weltrang. 93+ Punkte in Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate und gar 97+ Punkte vom US-Weinkritiker Jeb Dunnuck sprechen für sich. Die Assemblage aus 59% Grenache Noir, 31% Syrah und 10% Mourvèdre bietet Weingenuss, der allerhöchsten Ansprüchen spielerisch genügt.Das Bouquet der Cuvée des Cadettes 2016 duftet einnehmend nach Schwarzkirsche, schwarzer Johannisbeere und süßen Gewürzen. Auch reife Brombeeren und Pfeffer bereichern den Duftstrauß. Joe Czerwinski urteilt im Wine Advocate, dass der Blend Noten von Zeder und Röstaromen habe, dazu Vanille und Backgewürze. Mit mehr Luft „kommen etwas Cola und dunkle Beerennoten zum Vorschein“.Am Gaumen ist der Rotwein aus dem legendären Anbaugebiet Châteauneuf-du-Pape trocken, frisch und ausgewogen, mit einer tollen Aromentiefe (Brombeeren und Graphit). Die Tannine sind perfekt ausgereift und meisterhaft integriert. Der tief rubinrote Wein besitzt eine außergewöhnliche Länge. „Es scheint, dass der Wein das erforderliche Gewicht und die Fülle hat, um die 28% neuen Barriques zu tragen, die für seinen Ausbau verwendet werden“, findet Czerwinski.Er empfiehlt auch: „Geben Sie ihm noch ein paar Jahre Zeit und trinken Sie ihn in den nächsten zwei Jahrzehnten.“ Bis 2040 ist der „Cuvée des Cadettes“ vom Château La Nerthe ein Hochgenuss-Garant. 12 Monate reifte der Rotwein im Eichenholz. Erst einige Jahre nach ihrer Abfüllung in die Flaschen können Weinliebhaberinnen und -liebhaber dann diese Spitzencuvée erwerben.

This Côtes du Rhône Villages AOP is an extraordinary wine. The team of the La Nerthe winery, which has been based in the Châteauneuf-du-Pape region since the 14th century, maintains the Les Cassagnes vineyards located in Sérignan-du-Comtat, France. The grapes for this wine are selected exclusively from the best parcels of land. The soil consists of sand, clay and limestone, providing natural filtration and creating full-bodied, well-balanced wines.The grapes come from vines with an average age of more than 40 years. This cuvée consists mainly of Grenache Noir, Shiraz and a smaller percentage of Mourvèdre.The grapes are harvested by hand and undergo a further selection process upon arrival in the cellar. Subsequently, the grape varieties are fermented separately for a period of three weeks. The extraction is carried out very carefully in order to maintain the fruit aromas and to preserve a good tannin structure. Before bottling, the wine finally matures for 9 months in stainless steel tanks, remaining in contact with the yeast.The Les Cassagnes AOP Côtes du Rhône Villages Rouge is a deep, dark red in colour. On the palate, it impresses wine connoisseurs with an appealing body that’s not overly full, showing a very silky texture. Aromas of red berries, wonderful notes recalling perfume and sweet nuances of spices lead to an exquisite, prolonged finish.Served at a drinking temperature of 14-16°C (57.2-60.8 °F), the Les Cassagnes goes beautifully with grilled lamb or beef, pasta Bolognese or ratatouille. We recommend enjoying this wine with ‘Tian’, a vegetable gratin speciality from the Provence region, made of tomatoes, courgettes, aubergines, thyme and oregano. Simply delicious!

Die Weinfachwelt ist sich selten so einig wie bei diesem Rosé. Nicht nur der Wine Advocate, James Suckling, Wine and Spirits und Wine Spectator loben diesen Wein in höchsten Tönen. James Suckling spricht sogar davon, Zitat: „Dies könnte der beste Rosé der Welt sein“. Nun genug der Superlative und zur eigentlichen Beschreibung.Der Château Routas Rosé Provence hat eine zart hellrosa Farbe. In der Nase finden sich frische Noten der Wassermelone, Pfirsicharomen und Noten von Erdbeeren und ein Hauch von Orangenschale. Am Gaumen ist dieser Rosé weich, geschmeidig und wunderschön strukturiert. Der lebendige Geschmack nach Walderdbeeren, Kirsche wird begleitet von mineralischen Noten und einer leichten Pfefferwürze. Die knackig frische Säure trägt zum erfrischend langen Abgang bei.Kellermeister und Önologe Jean Louis Bavay, der sein Handwerk bei der Domaine Ott gelernt hat, ist ein leidenschaftlicher Arbeiter.
