The invigorating white wine from the Peter Zemmer winery, founded in 1928, was vinified partly in stainless steel tanks and partly in large oak casks.

The Peter Zemmer Pinot Bianco Alto Adige DOC shines straw yellow with greenish reflections. Notes of green apple, a fine zest and floral aromas on the nose. On the palate wonderfully fruity and mineral, with a nice body and a delicate, refreshing acidity.

Peter Zemmer

Seit 1928, dem Gründungsjahr des Familienweingutes, gehört der Weinbau zur Geschichte der Familie Zemmer. Die Begeisterung zum Wein ist auch bei der dritten Generation fest verankert und spiegelt sich heute in erstklassigen Produkten wider. Das Weingut Peter Zemmer liegt im Südtiroler Unterland in der Mitte des Tales des Flusses Etsch. Der Ort Kurtinig an der Südtiroler Weinstraße zählt heute mit seinen rund 600 Einwohnern zu den kleinsten Gemeinden Südtirols. Er ist die Heimat des Weingutes Peter Zemmer und liegt an der südlichen Landesgrenze zum Trentino.

Das Klima ist in den Hochlagen alpin aber gleichzeitig in den Tälern oft mediterran. Die verschiedenen Lagen, die unterschiedlichen Böden und die vielen Mikroklimas ermöglichen bei Peter Zemmer den Anbau eines sehr breiten Spektrums an Rebsorten. Durch die sorgfältige und schonende Nutzung dieser einmaligen Terroirs reifen Trauben heran, die einzigartige Weine hervorbringen. Neben der einheimischen Rebsorte Lagrein setzt Peter Zemmer beim Anbau auch auf die Rebsorten Gewürztraminer, Chardonnay und Pinot Grigio sowie Weißburgunder.

Terlaner Classico DOC

The Terlaner is a blend of Pinot Blanc, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. It is the historical Cuvée produced since the founding of the winery (1893!). The wine sparkles straw yellow with green hues. On the nose it offers notes of green apple and white peach. They are typical of the classic Terlan. Add to that, even subtle nuances of lemon and mint.On the palate, the white wine is invogorating but very soft. He also impresses with its freshness, minerality and great length.The grapes for the wine were picked and selected by hand. Stations of the winemaking-process: slow fermentation at controlled temperature in stainless steel; storage and ripening for 5-7 months on the lees in stainless steel tanks; finally, the assemblage a month before bottling.At about halfway between the cities of Merano and Bolzano is the wine-village of Terlan. The history of the South Tyrolean Cantina Terlano dates back to 1893. Over this long period Cantina Terlan has built an excellent reputation. The Wine Advocate stated in October 2014: "Cantina Terlano is one of the most prolific wineries in Italy and among the oldest in the region. It offers an outstanding line of wines that embrace multiple styles and philosophies. "Raut" refers to a particular vineyard of the winery Peter Zemmer. In the South Tyrolean “Unterland”, a part of the Adige Valley in South Tyrol, grow the Lagrein grapes for this wine.
