Young and very fruity red wine, which has historically been a great success mainly because of its fruity and easy drinking convenience.
The red cherry fruit of grapes like Cinsaut, Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz and Ruby Cabernet jumps forward. Supplemented by a small percentage of Cabernet Sauvignon which gives this wine a bit more backbone.

This wine is perfect with pizza, pasta or BBQ dishes.

Das südafrikanische Weingut Douglas Green Bellingham, oft verkürzt nur DGB genannt, wurde offiziell 1990 gegründet. Die Wurzeln der erfolgreichen Weinproduktion reichen allerdings mehr als 300 Jahre zurück. In den Weingüter Boschendal und Bellingham stecken die Ursprünge von DGB:

Die wechselvolle Geschichte über die Jahre bedeutete Gründungen von Kooperationen, Besitzerwechsel und Neugründungen sowie Umbenennungen von Unternehmen.

Schließlich wurde 1990 Douglas Green Bellingham gegründet, und die Firmenstruktur von damals hat sich bis heute grundsätzlich gehalten. Zahlreiche Weingüter sind unter DGB zusammengeschlossen und vertreiben hier ihre Produkte. So gehören Franschhoek Vineyards und Boschendal Wines zum Unternehmen. Heute ist DGB einer der größten unabhängigen Erzeuger und Vertreiber für Wein und Spirituosen in Südafrika und steht für hervorragende Qualitätsweine, die mehrfach ausgezeichnet wurden.

The Beyerskloof Synergy is the epitome of Cape wines. As one of the first of this type in South Africa, it unites the structure of Cabernet Sauvignon, the fruitiness of Pinotage and the softness of Merlot. A small percentage of Shiraz, Cinsault and Pinot Noir gives the Beyerskloof Synergy its spice and minerality. It matured for 14 months in first- (10%), second- and third-fill French oak casks.The Beyerskloof Synergy Cape Blend is a deep red in the glass, with a slightly shimmering ruby-red rim. Its bouquet offers extremely intense notes of black fruit. On the palate, the wine is juicy, soft and full-bodied, recalling sweet aromas of cedar, cherries and lots of black fruit. The beautifully integrated tannins wonderfully support the Synergy Cape blend’s balance and complexity. The dry wine from South Africa is made from Pinotage grapes.The wine has a light pink color due to the very brief contact of the juice with the skin of the berries. The rosé is a dry, but not off-dry wine. The fruit, especially strawberry and raspberry, remains in the soft finish.A wonderfully fresh and soft wine that is a great terrace wine in summer. In winter, we recommend the Oude Kaap Rosé as a base wine for making rosé mulled wine.
