Hacienda Monasterio Reserva DO - Deep Ribera del Duero with elegance and power

The world knows a few outstanding winemakers, such as the Dane Peter Sissek. When the best terroir and a first-class oenologist come together, the result is top wines, as in the case of the Hacienda Monasterio Reserva. Peter Sissek, who became world-famous with his Pingus wine, has been working for Hacienda Monastrio since the winery started making wine. He not only shaped the work in the cellar, but also took care of the biodynamic cultivation of the grapes from the very beginning. The Hacienda Monasterio Reserva is made from 80% Tinto Fino (Tempranillo), the predominant grape variety in the Ribera del Duero, and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon. The red wine spends almost two years in French oak.

In the glass, the Reserva from Hacienda Monasterio presents itself in a deep dark red, tending towards violet at the edges. This red wine has an intense aroma of black fruit. Fine roasted aromas and spicy notes accompany the impression on the nose. Complexity and concentrated fruit characterize the mouthfeel. An in-depth minerality is carried by the beautifully integrated tannins. A wine full of elegance and finesse that reflects the incomparable potential of the Ribera del Duero region. You will enjoy this wine for a long time.

The Hacienda Monasterio Reserva is excellent with food. Try the red wine with braised meat, lamb, roast wild boar or mature cheese creations.

Er kaufte dafür etwa 3 Hektar Rebflächen in der Nähe seines Lieblingsortes La Horra in der Region Ribera del Duero. Sein Ziel war es die Finesse und Eleganz der Ribera del Duero in seine Weine zu bringen ohne das die Weine an Rückgrat und Tanninstruktur verlieren. Javier Zaccagnini ist Liebhaber klassischer Musik und verehrt besonders Johann Sebastian Bach. Abgeleitet aus der sechsten Solo Violin Sonate fand er den Namen für seine Weine. Sei Solo ist ein spanischer Rotwein der Extraklasse, der im Glas ein dunkles purpur Rot zeigt. In der Nase finden sich besonders aromatische Fruchtnoten von Pflaume und Brombeere. Der Wein duftet nach mediterranen Kräutern, Kakao sowie dezenten Röstaromen. Ein Hauch Lakritz ergänzt das Ganze. Am Gaumen ist der Sei Solo kraftvoll und komplex mit außergewöhnlicher Frische, die man bei solch einen Wein eher nicht erwartet. Die Balance zwischen samtigen Tanninen und satter Frucht prägt das Mundgefühl. Der elegante, finessenreiche Sei Solo lässt sich wunderbar mit Lasagne, reifem Käse, Lamm- und Schmorgerichten kombinieren.
