Initially, the wine is redolent of red berries such as raspberries, fine spice aromas (cinnamon) and nuances of toasted wood. The bouquet is subsequently enriched by hints of cedar, vanilla and autumn leaves. The Torre Muga Rioja unites notes of ripe, dark fruit, black pepper and mineral nuances in its bouquet, along with notes recalling undergrowth. The complex bouquet is additionally refined with nuances of menthol, rosemary and fine roast aromas, resulting from the ageing in high-quality oak casks. The blend, consisting mainly of Tempranillo and smaller percentages of Mazuelo and Graciano, is velvety on the palate, with soft tannins and an elegant acidity.
