Fresh, acid-driven wines are the hallmark of the Estremadura region in the west of Portugal on the Atlantic coast. The Espiga Branco embodies the qualities of this growing area. The wine is a blend of four autochthonous grape varieties.Fernão Pires, Arinto and Moscatel, supplemented by Sauvignon Blanc, give an acid-driven wine with notes of citrus, green apple, kiwi and gooseberries. There is also a subtle spiciness. A wonderfully refreshing, invigorating wine. Enjoy it as aperitif or with tapas, fish and shellfish. Also an ideal companion to pasta dishes with light sauces.

It is an ancient tradition in this region on Twelfth Night, to paint figures similar to those on the label, on the white walls of the local houses.In the long established vineyards, traditional vine varieties such as Castelao, Tinta Roriz, Touriga Nacional and Syrah are grown in sunny slopes.Long maceration, traditional fermentation and aging in oak barriques are used in the production of this wine.

Palha-Cansas Tinto VR owns a medium ruby tone. This portugiese redwine, from the region Lisboa has an intense aroma of red fruits, jam and vanilla. Equally complex in the tasting, it evolutes to smooth velvety notes of red and ripe fruits, chocolate and oak ageing.Persistent and well-balanced aftertaste with tannins that evidence the structure of the wine and its longevity.Enjoy this wine with strong meat dishes or soft- and hard cheese.

Setencostas Tinto DOC

The Setencostas Tinto DOC is a blend of four typical red grape-varieties in Portugal. Castelão, Camarate, Tinta Miúda and Preto Martinho give in this combination a tannin-driven, fruity wine.The bouquet is multi-faceted. Aromas of wild berries and dark cherries, some forest floor and balsamic notes such as mint and eucalyptus together offer a nice flavor. It is rounded out by notes of licorice. The Quinta da Boavista is located in the hills of the wine region Lisboa, about 50 kilometers north of Lisbon. Boavista means "beautiful view", which fully applies for this red wine from Portugal.Enjoy the Setencostas Tinto DOC to delicate dishes of pork and beef, meat in light sauces or mild cheeses.
