The Kanonkop Kadette Rosé is an expressive yet elegant rosé wine from the Cape that reflects the quality awareness of the traditional Kanonkop wine estate in every bottle.

Located in the picturesque wine-growing region of Stellenbosch, the Kanonkop family winery has made a name for itself internationally - not least thanks to the passionate cellar master Beyers Truter, who is already considered the "King of Pinotage" in South Africa. Today, Abrie Beeslaar is continuing the success story of Kanonkop's first-class red wines, which are grown on 100 hectares, with great dedication and meticulousness. Brothers Johann and Paul Kriege are the fourth generation to run the winery.

Compared to typical rosé wines, Kanonkop Kadette Rosé has a remarkably full body and is a pleasantly dry wine. Wonderful floral notes and aromas of red berries such as strawberries, raspberries and cherries - so characteristic of Pinotage - await the connoisseur. Almost perfect conditions during the ripening phase of the grapes characterized a great vintage.

Das Weingut Kanonkop liegt an den unteren Hängen des Simonsberges in der Stellenbosch-Region der Westkap Provinz. Es liegt zwischen Stellenbosch und Paarl und fällt in den Simonsberg genannten Wahlkreis, der allgemein als „Rotweinbecken“ Südafrikas bezeichnet wird.

Neben der soliden Basis des Gutes in seinen Prinzipien der Weinherstellung, ist es auch reich an idealen Böden, kühlen Meeresbrisen und langen Sommertagen, die ein perfektes Klima für das Wachstum der Trauben bilden.

Das Weingut hat ein ideales Mikroklima für die Produktion von Rotwein, mit einer kühlen Brise von der Küste der False Bay an späten Sommernachmittagen, wodurch die hohen Inlandstemperaturen erheblich gemildert werden.

The dry wine from South Africa is made from Pinotage grapes.The wine has a light pink color due to the very brief contact of the juice with the skin of the berries. The rosé is a dry, but not off-dry wine. The fruit, especially strawberry and raspberry, remains in the soft finish.A wonderfully fresh and soft wine that is a great terrace wine in summer. In winter, we recommend the Oude Kaap Rosé as a base wine for making rosé mulled wine.
