La Motte Pierneef Syrah Viognier

Five stars awarded by John Platter and the first place in the ‘Top 100 Wines of South Africa’ wine guide tell you all you need to know about this wine. It is, of course, even more impressive to enjoy a bottle of La Motte Syrah-Viognier.This wine in the famous Côte-Rôtie style unites the inimitable aromas of Viognier and the spice so typical of Shiraz. On the nose, the wine offers aromas of raspberries and lingonberry, complemented by notes of liquorice and green pepper. Thanks to the Viognier, it shows nuances of rose petals as well. It is wonderfully complex and full-bodied on the palate, with a refreshing acidity. The concentrated tannins are nicely integrated and the finish is soft. This blend, consisting of Shiraz and Viognier, was aged for 14 months in oak casks. After blending, the La Motte Shiraz-Viognier matured for a further four months in barriques.Enjoy this outstanding wine with duck, chicken, veal or lamb. This blend is also a real delight to enjoy simply on its own.

Trauben aus den besten südafrikanischen Terroirs für Sauvignon Blanc am Westkap wurden für diesen Sauvignon Blanc kombiniert. Sie stammen aus Franschhoek (25%), Stellenbosch (50%) und der Kap-Südküste. (25%).Der wunderbar belebende La Motte Sauvignon Blanc bietet in der Nase intensive Aromen von Stachelbeere, charakteristische Limettenaromen und Wintermelone. Am Gaumen erfrischend und klar, mit einer angenehmen natürlichen Säure. Aromen von grünem Apfel, Stachelbeere, Litschi und Nuancen von Pfeffer erwarten den Genießer.
