Langmeil 'Blacksmith' Cabernet Sauvignon

The artisan of iron has now made way for the new craftsman who has blended the oldest of Barossa traditions to forge this spectacular wine. Our Cabernet Sauvignon, the unsung hero of Barossa wine, has been matured in new (20%) and seasoned (80%) French Oak for two years, achieving the structure, depth and balance expected from this premium Australian grape growing region.In 1838 a 32 year old Blacksmith, Christian Auricht, arrived in South Australia from Prussia with his wife and four children. He subsequently settled in the new hamlet of Langmeil and built a smithy, around which grew the trading centre of the village.

Langmeil 'Hangin’ Snakes' Shiraz

Speaking a local dialect known as ‘Barossa-Deutsch', a blend of German and English that embodies much of the history of the district, one of Langmeil's best growers doesn't curse, just as his forebears didn't, but in the heat of vintage is oft heard to mutter "Hangin' Snakes!”.Since rejuvenating the abandoned 19th Century vineyards and cellars, in less than two decades Langmeil has created an enviable worldwide reputation for its coveted Shiraz.Enjoy this wine with rice dishes or poultry.

Langmeil 'Live Wire' Riesling, lieblich

This pure varietal Riesling from Australia is crisp and invigorating. It has a nose redolent of Granny Smith apples, citrus fruits and nuances of confectionery. The white wine from the Eden valley in the Barossa region of Southern Australia is juicy, stimulating and slightly sparkling on the palate. The Langmeil ‘Live Wire’ Riesling shows a fine sweetness perfectly harmonizing with the crisp acidity.The Riesling matured in stainless steel tanks and comes from vines between 34 and 44 years old. It goes beautifully with spicy Asian cuisine.The Lindner family, who own the Langmeil winery, have been working in the region for six generations. In producing the Langmeil ‘Live Wire’, they have once again created a remarkable taste experience.

Langmeil 'Orphan Bank' Shiraz

Der Langmeil Orphan Bank Shiraz ist einer der besten Rotweine von dem Weingut Langmeil. Dieser trockene Wein ist perfekt geeignet für Feinschmecker, die möglichst wenig Süße im Wein schmecken wollen. Im Bouquet des australischen Rotweines finden sich Noten von Brombeeren, Heidelbeeren und Pflaumen kombiniert mit Vanille, Bitterschokolade und Zimt. Im Glas zeigt der besondere Wein eine leicht dunkle rote Farbe. Wenn er erstmal am Gaumen angelangt ist, entfaltet dieser Wein seine fruchtige Seite. Im Abgang wirkt dieser Shiraz würzig.Die Herkunft des Weines liegt in Australien, in der Region Barossa. Dort werden die Reben per Hand ausgelesen und sofort gepresst.Der Langmeil Orphan Bank Shiraz ist ein reinsortiger Shiraz, der sich am besten mit Gemüse oder Rinderfrikadellen essen lässt. Auch getrocknete Feigen oder Kabeljau eignen sich gut als Begleiter.

Langmeil 'Spring Fever' Eden Valley Chardonnay

Sourced from the Eden Valley, this elegant wine is made from pristine, flavour ripe bunches, gently pressed and cool fermented.Most components remain un-oaked for freshness (70%) while some are finished in French oak (30%) for complexity as well as undergoing secondary malolactic fermentation to soften natural acidity. This wine exhibits fresh, full fruit flavours, fine structure and a dry finish.

Langmeil 'Three Gardens' SMG Shiraz Mataro Grenache

The ‘garden' was how the old Barossa vigneron referred to his vineyard. Our Three Gardens in Nuriootpa, Lyndoch and Seppeltsfield, yield a fine red blend with a distinct Barossa style and complementary characteristics.The blend of Shiraz, Grenache and Mourvèdre and some Carignan and Counoise shows good balance and integrated structure. It has full, ripe fruit, supported by firm but fine tannins. The overall flavours and cherries and blackberries, with hints of mokka and spice.

At its heart is the valley floor, a rich strip of land exposed to the driest conditions and home to some of the most select Shiraz vineyards of the area.The ‘Valley Floor Shiraz', like other premium wines of the Barossa, is a regional blended wine. Grapes are sourced from specially selected vineyards across all the sub regions of the Barossa from a range of different aged vines, select parcels of which are then open fermented and basket pressed to make this classic example of honest, hand made Barossa Valley Shiraz.

Langmeil Fifth Wave Grenache

Once a neglected Old Vine Garden in Lyndoch, The Fifth Wave vineyard was rejuvenated by Langmeil and in 1999 winemaker Paul Lindner saw the potential of the Grenache from this unique vineyard and with tenacity convinced the owners to produce a straight varietal, in all likelihood the first time Grenache from this time honoured Old Vine Garden had been truly prized. The 100% Grenache Langmeil Fifth Wave Grenache is based on 42+ and 90 year old vines. The wine matured for 21 month in 17% seasoned French oak and 83% seasoned American oak. On the nose aromas of dark cherry and raspberry fruits mingle with sweet spice, vanilla, hints of savoury roastiness and white pepper nuances. Ripe, red berry fruit flows onto the palate, melding into lovely sweet and briary spice. The finish lingers on a pepper and spice note with typical chalky and youthfully firm tannins.Enjoy this wine together with pasta, pork, stew or different kinds of cheese.

Langmeil Jackaman’s Cabernet Sauvignon

Langmeil Jackman's Cabernet Sauvignon is a 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, based on 35+ year old vines. The wine matured 24 month in 50% new and 50% seasoned French oak Hogsheads. These are some of the fundamental components of a wonderful wine from the famous Barossa-region in South-Australia.The wine has a deep crimson colour with purple hues. On the nose lifted blackcurrants and blueberry aroma entwine with biscuity French oak, chocolate and hints of black olive and liquorice. On the palate bright, juicy. Blue and red fruits flow onto the palate which is medium to full bodied. Briary spice adds to the complexity and the sweet fruit is well balanced with fine, silky tannins which lengthen the fruitful and velvity finish.

Der reinsortige Langmeil Pure Eden Shiraz stammt von Rebstöcken, die vor 150 Jahren im australischen Eden Valley gepflanzt wurden. Das Terroir in diesem Gebiet zeichnet sich durch zersetztem Stein, Lehm, Granit und eisenhaltigem Gestein aus. Die Familie Lindner des Weinguts Langmeil engagiert sich für Qualität in allen Aspekten. Jeder Wein, der den Namen Langmeil trägt, steht für das Streben der Familie nach Spitzenleistungen in Wein und Gemeinschaft.Nach der Gärung reift der Wein 23 Monate auf der Eiche. Davon wird 1/3 in neuen französischen und der Rest in gebrauchten Eichenfässern ausgebaut.Im Glas zeigt sich der hervorragende Rotwein in einem mittleren bis tiefroten Karminrot mit violetten Reflexen. Ein verführerisches Bouquet von roten und blauen Früchten erhebt sich aus dem Glas, gepaart mit würzigen Kräutern und Anklängen an schwarze Oliven, Zedernholz, Erde und weißen Pfeffer. Am Gaumen präsentiert sich ein mittel- bis vollmundiger Wein mit saftigen Satsuma-Pflaumen und Himbeeren, mit viel saftigen Tanninen, die dem Wein Struktur und Textur verleihen. Süße und edle Gewürze balancieren die saftige Frucht mit einer subtilen Zedernnote bis zum Abgang.Der Langmeil Pure Eden Shiraz eignet sich ausgezeichnet als Begleiter zu Steak, Osso Bucco und Filet Mignon.

Langmeil Steadfast Shiraz Cabernet

Founded in the 1840s, the Barossa is one of Australia’s oldest premier wine regions. Shiraz is the cornerstone of the region’s fame. Langmeil Steadfast Shiraz Cabernet has a medium depth crimson-colour with purple hues. On the nose juicy raspberries, ripe Satsuma plum and white pepper dominate. They are complemented by hints of vanilla, licorice and peppermint. On the palate a well balanced mouthful of sweet, juicy fruit, melding wonderfully with briary and peppery spice. A medium bodied wine with a lovely fruitful, spicy and silky tannin finish. The wine matured for 9 month in French and American oak.
