The Vesevo Aglianico matured for 8 months in oak casks. The bouquet is wonderfully complex, showing notes of red fruit, herbs and vanilla. This red wine from the Aglianico grape is mild on the palate with noticeable but velvety tannins and a dry finish. The ruby-red wine with violet glints is a good accompaniment to hearty main courses and meat dishes.Aglianico is a very old variety with two thousand years of history. It is mainly cultivated in the Basilicata and the Campania region, making the Vesevo Aglianico Rosso a characteristic ambassador for southern Italian viticulture. Every year at the end of September, a regional wine festival in honour of the Falanghina variety is held in Campania.
