Pfaffle planted Chardonnay almost 20 years ago on their vineyards Rossern and Neuberg in order to show what is possible on this spot. This one is fermented and maturated in oak.In the nose some herbs with a hint of nutmeg. Robust and animating on the palate with fresh tones of ripe pear and citrus; an idea of wood gives the wine its harmonic balance. Nice acidity with vital fruit in the finish.Accompanies perfectly fish, but also made for heavier poultryor veal-dishes.

Pfaffl Gemischter Satz Harmony

What’s true for classical music also applies to the Pfaffl Gemischter Satz Harmony: many high-quality elements unite to create a harmonious whole. Roman Josef Pfaffl succeeded in creating a spicy, light wine full of vividness, freshness and fruitiness, consisting mainly of the Riesling Pinot Blanc and Grüner Veltliner. The grapes for this wine were harvested by hand. The wine matured for 3 months in stainless steel tanks before it was bottled in Burgundy bottles with screwcaps.The Pfaffl Gemischter Satz Harmony also expresses the return to the distinctive character of such cuvées. The focus on pure varietal wines pushed these blends into the background for a long time, but they are now being increasingly rediscovered. The wines from the Weinviertel region, the biggest Austrian wine-growing area extending over approximately 44,479 acres, are often influenced by the Grüner Veltliner grape variety. In the “Veltliner region”, 50% of the wine-growing areas are cultivated with this grape variety so typical of Austria.The Pfaffl Gemischter Satz Harmony is a real pleasure on the palate and goes well with practically everything.

Pfaffl Vom Haus Riesling

Vom landwirtschaftlichen Betrieb zum Weingut. Pfaffl entwickelte sich rasant seit seiner Gründung 1978 und wurde sogar von Wine Enthusiast zum europäischen Weingut des Jahres gewählt. Im größten Weinbaugebiet Österreichs ist das Weingut Pfaffl zu Hause. Niederösterreich steht für Lössböden, warme Tage und kühle Nächte. Ein ausgezeichnetes Terroir für die Rieslingtrauben des Pfaffl Vom Haus Riesling.Nach der Ernte werden die Trauben entrappt und gequetscht. Vor dem Pressen werden diese einer 2-stündigen Standzeit auf der Schale unterzogen. Die Gärung erfolgt bei einer kontrollierten Temperatur von 18°C in Edelstahltanks.Im Glas ziegt sich Pfaffls Vom Haus Riesling in hellgelber Farbe. Im Bouquet werden Noten von Mandarine, Pfirsich, Aprikose und Birne vereint. Im Geschmack ist der Weißwein herrlich fruchtig und frisch-trocken. Im Nachgeschmack schmecken Sie etwas Salziges und Mineralisches.

Das herrlich anregende Bouquet des Pfaffl Vom Haus Sauvignon Blanc verführt mit seiner fruchtigen Frische. Noten von Stachelbeeren und Pfirsich steigen in die Nase. Abgerundet wird der Duftstrauß durch Noten von frischem Gras.Am Gaumen ist der Weißwein aus Österreich trocken, elegant und intensiv aromatisch-fruchtig. Pfaffl Vom Haus St. Laurent

Niederösterreich, das größte Weinbaugebiet Österreichs. Hier wächst der St. Laurent in einem für die blaue Traube idealem Terroir. Lössböden, warme Tage und kühle Nächte sind vorherrschend in dieser Region.Nach der Ernte werden die Trauben entrappt und gepresst. Bei einer kontrollierten Temperatur von 28°C erfolgt die Gärung in Edelstahltanks für 261 Tage. Durch regelmäßiges Umpumpen des Rebsafts werden so viel wie möglich Farbe und Geschmack extrahiert. Nach der Gärung reift der Wein für 6 Monate in gebrauchten Eichenfässern.Die Farbe des Pfaffl Vom Haus St. Laurent ist rubinrot. Fruchtige Noten von Heidelbeeren, Kirschen und einer gewissen Würze sind dem Bouquet enthalten. Der Geschmack ist fruchtig mit dezenten Röstnoten und überrascht den Gaumen zusätzlich mit Gewürzen und Kräutern.

The Pfaffl Vom Haus Zweigelt has a nose redolent of ripe cherries. On the palate, the red wine from Lower Austria is full and juicy, with spicy nuances and soft tannins. Made from Austria’s most important red wine grape variety, 30% of this red wine was aged in used barriques and 70% in stainless steel tanks. After roughly six months, the Pfaffl Vom Haus Zweigelt was bottled in Burgundy bottles. Try this Zweigelt with steaks, but also with pasta and pizza as well as various roasts and other meat dishes.

The traditional Viennese field blend called “Gemischter Satz” was the inspiration for this wine. Traditionally, the wine comes from a vineyard planted with different grape varieties that are vinified together. Of course, nowadays the grape varieties are planted separately, in order to be able to work the vineyard according to the needs of the grape variety. However, the traditional idea to unite the advantages of several grape varieties in one wine remains.Riesling brings fruit and fragrance, Pinot Blanc body, and Grüner Veltliner spice. The result is a crisp, vivacious blend with animated charm. It particularly fits to Viennese dishes and shouldn’t be missed in the summer!
