Dürnberg Kirchberg Gemischter Satz

The Dürnberg Kirchberg Gemischter Satz unites intense, fruity notes of pale fruit and multi-faceted aromas of apples and fine herbs in its bouquet, along with a lovely spice. The bouquet is complemented by nuances of roasted almonds and hints of rose blossoms. This blend from the Weinviertel region is complex, full-bodied and concentrated on the palate, showing a lovely minerality and a long, aromatic finish. The Grüner Veltliner, Welschriesling, Roter Traminer (Red traminer), Weissburgunder (Pinot blanc) and Riesling grape varieties unite here in lovely interaction, creating a wine with a high ageing potential.

The grapes for this white wine from Austria come from vines that are 60 years old, giving the wine, amongst other things, its extraordinary, salty minerality. You’ll enjoy discovering the Dürnberg Kirchberg Gemischter Satz with turkey with onions and tomatoes, for example. It also goes beautifully with oriental lamb ragout, Asian cuisine or ripe cheeses such as Machego or Pecorino.

Pfaffl Grüner Veltliner Hund
An explicit peppery spice, accompanied by orange and pineapple, announces the complexity of the Hund already in the nose. The multilayered bouquet culminates on the palate; here meets pepper minerality, citrus meets apple. With every sip more nuances come along, combined with a long and full finish and a hint of spice one feels invited to the next glass.Perfect to typical Viennese cuisine but also wonderful to exotic dishes.

Winzer Krems Edition Chremisa Grüner Veltliner
This spicy Grüner Veltliner is wonderfully typical of this varietal. It is redolent of fine pepper and fruit such as quince and Golden Delicious apples. The wine is well-balanced, with piquant sweetness and acidity as well as a long finish. In 995, the city of Krems on the Danube was first mentioned as ‘Urbs Chremisa’. In its honour, the new premium wines produced by the Krems wine-growers are called ‘Edition Chremisa’. The basis for these outstanding qualities was created through years of preparation. The wine-growers produce the very best grapes from selected vineyards under cultivation conditions close to nature, with complex processing in areas which are often difficult to access. The grapes are picked selectively by hand in several stages. This wine has a high ageing potential. Another 1 to 2 years of ageing in the wine cellar will fully develop its power, which will be further enhanced under ideal storage conditions.

Pfaffl Gemischter Satz Harmony
What’s true for classical music also applies to the Pfaffl Gemischter Satz Harmony: many high-quality elements unite to create a harmonious whole. Roman Josef Pfaffl succeeded in creating a spicy, light wine full of vividness, freshness and fruitiness, consisting mainly of the Riesling Pinot Blanc and Grüner Veltliner. The grapes for this wine were harvested by hand. The wine matured for 3 months in stainless steel tanks before it was bottled in Burgundy bottles with screwcaps. The Pfaffl Gemischter Satz Harmony also expresses the return to the distinctive character of such cuvées. The focus on pure varietal wines pushed these blends into the background for a long time, but they are now being increasingly rediscovered. The wines from the Weinviertel region, the biggest Austrian wine-growing area extending over approximately 44,479 acres, are often influenced by the Grüner Veltliner grape variety. In the “Veltliner region”, 50% of the wine-growing areas are cultivated with this grape variety so typical of Austria. The Pfaffl Gemischter Satz Harmony is a real pleasure on the palate and goes well with practically everything.

Langmeil 'Valley Floor' Shiraz
The Barossa Region is known for its viticulture and wine making. At its heart is the valley floor, a rich strip of land exposed to the driest conditions and home to some of the most select Shiraz vineyards of the area. The ‘Valley Floor Shiraz', like other premium wines of the Barossa, is a regional blended wine. Grapes are sourced from specially selected vineyards across all the sub regions of the Barossa from a range of different aged vines, select parcels of which are then open fermented and basket pressed to make this classic example of honest, hand made Barossa Valley Shiraz.
