Winzer Krems

Product recommendation

Kellermeister Privat Blauer Zweigelt

Sankt Laurent, Kellermeister Privat
The bouquet offers finely chiselled fruit flavours of red berries. On the palate, the wine shows an enchanting aroma of raspberries and cherries, having a mild, velvety and silky texture with fine tannins and an elegant finish.Food recommendation: This wine is an ideal accompaniment to feathered game (pheasant, partridge, wild duck) and goes beautifully with meat and game pâté or marinated beef (carpaccio, beef tartare). We especially recommend ’Schinkenfleckerl’ (pasta with ham in the Austrian style)! This is an excellent wine to enjoy at the Opera Ball!

Pfaffl Zweigelt Sandstein
The classic Zweigelt exhibits just what this variety can achieve: fully ripe, cherry fruit, a compact body and plenty of power. Every vine is restricted to a minimum amount of fruit to ensure optimal ripening in the sun.Brilliant ruby red in the colour, a clear fruit and power in the nose. Full cherry with decent smoky tones and on the palate full and juicy. The crisp body of tannin produces a soft spicy flavour. A wonderful Zweigelt, which shows a strong body and great fruit. It is an ideal companion to Steak, as well as to pasta and pizza.

Production area: Selected vineyards of Neviera and Casa Rossa, located in San Marzano district. The soil is mainly “terra rossa”, with a fine texture and generally a calcareous undergound with a few emerging rocks. The well-known redness of these soils is due to the presence of iron oxides.
