MONTES ALPHA"M" is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. A powerful wine with very good level of soft and rounded tannins. Intense dark red colour. The wine is elegant and has a very well defined character. The 5% of Petit Verdot is adding an extra element of complexity. There is an pleasant and harmonious marriage of fruit and the French oak. The structure of this wine will keep it for at least 20 years. On the palate, it is perfectly balanced, full-bodied and superbly voluptuous on the mid-palate with a rewarding, lingering after taste of mature grapes and acidity that reflects its superb structure.MONTES ALPHA "M" can be enjoyed now or cellared for several years (it will continue to improve in the bottle for at least 20 years).

During the 18 months of barrel aging in new French oak barrels, the wine is racked 3 times to get rid of lees, and allow some oxygen to interfere in the evolution and maturation of this wine.When the final blend is made, if the wine is totally clear, and has no microbiological pressure, there is no need for filtration or fining….so the wine goes unfiltered to the bottling process.Decant for at least an hour for better enjoyment, allowing the wine to open up.

Der Errazuriz Max Cabernet Sauvignon duftet anregend facettenreich nach Himbeeren, schwarzen Kirschen und Blaubeeren sowie nach Noten von Dill und Rosmarin. Am Gaumen wunderbar fruchtbetont, mit einer feinen, süßlichen Würze und balsamischen Tönen. Ein Rotwein mit eindrucksvoller Fülle, feingliedrigen Tanninen, einer guten Struktur und Persistenz.12 Monate reifte der Cabernet aus Chile in französischen Eichenfässern, wobei zu 20% neue Fässer zum Einsatz kamen. Luis Gutiérrez verleiht diesem Rotwein in Robert Parker‘s Wine Advocate 89 Punkte und schreibt unter anderem: „In fact the palate is bone dry and has some grainy tannins, really pleasant and easy to drink. Very good typicity, value and it should also be readily available.”

Production area: Selected vineyards of Neviera and Casa Rossa, located in San Marzano district. The soil is mainly “terra rossa”, with a fine texture and generally a calcareous undergound with a few emerging rocks. The well-known redness of these soils is due to the presence of iron oxides. The climate is characterised by high temperatures all year round, very few rainfalls and a wide difference of temperature between night and day, which has a nice influence on the quality of grapes. This is the “classical” central area of d.o.c. ”Primitivo di Manduria” Harvest period: Third decade of August, first decade of September Vinification: Hand-harvested in small baskets. Maceration: 18 days with selected autochtonous yeasts. Am Gaumen ist der Wein kraftvoll, intensiv und fest strukturiert, doch mit der klassischen Eleganz von Stag’s Leap.
