Luca Maroni, the renowned Italian wine critic, awards the Tenuta Ulisse Merlot Rosato full marks (99 out of 99 points). He assesses this rosé ‘as one of the best rosé wines ever’. Its incredible aromas are what make this rosé so special. The wine beguiles your senses both on the nose and on the palate. It is a pale pink in the glass and offers an abundance of spring fragrances on the nose. The wine is redolent of cherry blossoms and strawberry and raspberry fields, along with subtle hints of rose hips, giving the wine its spicy notes. The Tenuta Ulisse Merlot Rosato is lively and extremely fresh on the palate. The unparalleled fruit aromas are intense and round. The stable acidity gives the wine a distinctive body and harmonises fully with the fruit aromas.

Das Familien-Weingut Tenuta Ulisse liegt in Italien zwischen den Bergen der Abruzzen und dem Mittelmeer. Die hügelige Landschaft bei dem kleinen Dörfchen 'Crecchio' ist die Heimat der Familie Ulisse. Die beiden Brüder Antonio und Luigi Ulisse setzen bereits in dritter Generation die Familientradition fort, die Anfang des 20 Jahrhunderts begann, als hier die ersten Rebstöcke gepflanzt wurden. Heute erstrecken sich die Weinberge von Tenuta Ulisse auf 55 Hektar. Das Weingut verfügt über großartige und unterschiedliche Terroirs und setzt hauptsächlich auf autochthone mittelitalienische Rebsorten. So finden die besonderen Abruzzen-Rebsorten Passerina, Pecorino, Trebbiano d'Abruzzo und Montepulciano d'Abruzzo hier optimale Standortbedingungen vor.

Besonders sind auch die Etiketten und das Logo des Weingutes. Darauf ist ein Pferd zu sehen, welches Freiheit, Aufbruch und Bewegung symbolisiert und den Innovationsdrang von Antonio und Luigi Ulisse beschreibt. Die bunten Etiketten wurden von Gino Masciarelli ausschließlich für die Ulisse-Weine entworfen.

Für diesen trockenen Rosé aus Deutschland wurden gleich drei verschiedene Rebsorten miteinander kombiniert. Die Mischung der Rebsorten aus Cabernet Sauvignon, Frühburgunder und Merlot setzt ein interessantes Spiel der Aromen frei und sorgt für eine enorme Vielseitigkeit.Der Dr. Koehler Doktorspiele QbA Rosé erinnert vom Duft her an rote Beeren. Dieser Eindruck bestätigt sich, wenn die ersten Tropfen den Gaumen benetzen. Production area: Selected vineyards of Neviera and Casa Rossa, located in San Marzano district. The soil is mainly “terra rossa”, with a fine texture and generally a calcareous undergound with a few emerging rocks. The well-known redness of these soils is due to the presence of iron oxides. The climate is characterised by high temperatures all year round, very few rainfalls and a wide difference of temperature between night and day, which has a nice influence on the quality of grapes. This is the “classical” central area of d.o.c. ”Primitivo di Manduria” Harvest period: Third decade of August, first decade of September Vinification: Hand-harvested in small baskets. Maceration: 18 days with selected autochtonous yeasts.
