Notes of ripe plums, cherry jam and tobacco characterize the bouquet of this pure varietal Primitivo from the Apulia region, complemented by noticeable hints of cocoa, vanilla and coffee due to twelve months of aging in wooden casks. The Conte di Campiano Primitivo di Manduria Riserva is velvety and sumptuous on the palate, with a fine spiciness, full body, a little sweetness and nicely integrated tannins. This ruby-red wine from Apulia is an ideal accompaniment to red meat and game as well as savoury starters.

Der tief rubinrote Doppio Passo Riserva Primitivo di Manduria DOC ist eine wunderbare Rotwein aus der Rebsorte Primitivo. Der Rotwein aus Apulien duftet nach Noten von reifen Kirschen und Pflaumen, die mit unterschwelligen Holztönen und einer schönen Würze ein eindrucksvolles Zusammenspiel ergeben. Am Gaumen ist dieser Doppio Passo Riserva vollmundig, weich und ausgewogen, mit einer großen Tiefe.Die handverlesenen Trauben wurden für die Herstellung dieses Weines ein zweites Mal auf den Schalen vergoren (doppelter Gang, ital. doppio passo). Der Ausbau erfolgte über ein Jahr in Stahltanks, im Anschluss lagerte der Doppio Passo Riserva 12 Monate in großen Eichenfässern.Dieser italienische Rotwein passt sehr gut zu Lammfleisch (gegrillt, geschmort oder gebraten) oder auch zu kräftigem Käse.
