The Paolo Manzone Barbera d'Alba Superiore Fiorenza shimmers a rich ruby red to violet in the glass. The pure Barbera, an indigenous grape variety in Piedmont, was awarded 94 points by Luca Maroni. Impressive proof that this Italian red wine offers value for money that is hard to beat.
The bouquet offers notes of dark, ripe cherries, nuances of plums and beet as well as a fine spiciness (nuances of cedar wood). On the palate, this red wine from Piedmont is dry and at the same time pleasantly soft and juicy. The tannins are present and skillfully integrated.
This impressive creation from Paolo Manzone matured for 12 months in French oak tonneaux, 80% of which were used barrels and 20% new barrels.
Enjoy the Paolo Manzone Barbera d'Alba Superiore Fiorenza at a drinking temperature of 16 to 18 degrees. This red wine from Italy is an ideal accompaniment to a classic schnitzel with mushrooms, grilled chicken or mature cheese. If you prefer something a little more unusual, it is also a very good choice with pumpkin and sage ravioli.
