Nals Margreid Pinot Grigio Hill Südtirol DOC

This Pinot Gris matured for five months in stainless steel tanks. It offers intensively fruity notes of apples and fresh herbs on the nose, complemented by a light spice. On the palate, the wine shows a lovely acidity and a great length as well as power and structure. The grapes for this white wine from South Tyrol come from vines that are 80 years old and are rooted in rich clay soils.

Südtirol, Italiens nördlichste Weinbauregion, bietet ein außergewöhnlich breites Boden-Spektrum auf engstem Raum. Jede Rebsorte findet hier den geeigneten Untergrund. Besonders dieser Umstand ermöglicht es der Weinkellerei Nals Margreid eine enorme Vielfalt an Weinen herzustellen.

1985 erfolgte der Zusammenschluss der beiden Kellereien Nals (gegründet 1932) und Margreid-Entiklar (gegründet 1954). Daraus entstand eine Kooperative aus rund 140 Winzern. Sitz des Unternehmens ist Nals, zwischen Bozen und Meran gelegen.

In vierzehn Regionen, die übrigens den Weinen ihre Namen geben, liegen die Weinberge verstreut, auf denen die Winzer der Genossenschaft Nals Margreid ihre hochwertigen Trauben kultivieren. Zwischen Nals in Norden und Margreid im Süden werden 160 Hektar Rebfläche in Höhen von 200 bis 900 m bewirtschaftet. Zu den wichtigsten Rebsorten gehören Pinot Bianco und Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay und Cabernet, sowie bei den roten Sorten Vernatsch, Pinot Nero, Merlot und die aus Südtirol stammende Lagrein.

Ziel des Kellermeisters Harald Schraffl ist es erklärtermaßen mit der Natur und den Ressourcen respektvoll umzugehen. Auch das ist Zeichen höchster Qualität, die sich in zahlreichen Auszeichnungen der Weine von Nals Margreid wiederspiegelt.

Cantina Tramin Pinot Grigio
The grapes come from vineyards in Montagna, Tramin and Egna, planted in calcareous clay and pebble soils at altitudes ranging from 250 to 500 meters.The grapes for this wine were gently pressed off to steel tanks immediately after harvest. Terlaner Classico DOC
The Terlaner is a blend of Pinot Blanc, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. It is the historical Cuvée produced since the founding of the winery (1893!). The wine sparkles straw yellow with green hues. On the nose it offers notes of green apple and white peach. They are typical of the classic Terlan. Add to that, even subtle nuances of lemon and mint.On the palate, the white wine is invogorating but very soft. He also impresses with its freshness, minerality and great length.The grapes for the wine were picked and selected by hand. Stations of the winemaking-process: slow fermentation at controlled temperature in stainless steel; storage and ripening for 5-7 months on the lees in stainless steel tanks; finally, the assemblage a month before bottling.At about halfway between the cities of Merano and Bolzano is the wine-village of Terlan.
