The Merlot DOC Riserva Siebeneich offers a complex bouquet, which combines notes of dried plums, cranberries, mint and eucalyptus, complemented by hints of black pepper and subtle oak notes. On the palate the wine shows a stable tannin structure. The fruitiness of the wine is impressive as well as the long lasting finish.

12 months the wine matured partly in large oak barrels (70%) and partly in barriques (30%). For the maturation in the barriques, one third new wood barrels was used.

Kellerei Terlan

Mitten im Weinbaugebiet Terlan wurde im Jahr 1893 eine der ersten Genossenschaften Südtirols gegründet. Damals setzten sich 24 Weinbauern das Ziel der gemeinsamen Produktion und Absatzförderung. Heute gehört die Kellerei Terlan mit ca. 100 Mitgliedern, einer Anbaufläche von 150 ha und einer Gesamtproduktion von 1,2 Mio. Flaschen zu den kleineren Betrieben des Landes. Die überschaubare Größe trägt wesentlich zur Qualitätssicherung bei. Unter der sachkundigen Kontrolle des Önologen Rudi Kofler reifen im modernen Kellereitbetrieb 70% Weiß- und 30% Rotweine, die allesamt die DOC Klassifizierung haben.

Terlaner Weine haben die Besonderheiten von Klima und Boden in sich gespeichert. Bei ihrem sorgsamen Ausbau wird größter Wert auf die Erhaltung und Betonung des Gebietstyps gelegt. Das Ergebnis sind unverwechselbare, sehr eigenwillige Weine, die sich durch Frucht und Rasse, aber auch durch bestechende Dichte und Langlebigkeit auszeichnen.

Nonino Grappa Merlot

This grappa from Nonino unites notes of rose blossoms and cherry stones in its bouquet. It is made from fresh, soft Merlot grapes, giving the marc a great freshness and an aromatic depth. The Nonino distillery is the epitome of top quality in the world of grappa, and its Nonino Grappa Antica Cuvee is a taste experience as well. The estate from Udine, Italy has been producing grappa since 1897. The grappa offers notes of brioche, puff pastry, orange and candied fruit in its bouquet, along with a lovely spice. On the palate, the amber-coloured marc is warm and velvety. As you drink it, noticeable aromas of apricots, vanilla and almonds are gradually revealed. This grappa has a prolonged finish.The components for this Nonino matured for 5 to 20 years in barriques as well as in barrels formerly used for sherry. The 100% Lagrein from the Alto Adige winery Cantina Terlan has a strong ruby to garnet color with violet hues. On the nose, earthy and mineral notes that harmonize beautifully with fruity flavors. Terlaner Classico DOC

The Terlaner is a blend of Pinot Blanc, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. It is the historical Cuvée produced since the founding of the winery (1893!). The wine sparkles straw yellow with green hues. On the nose it offers notes of green apple and white peach. They are typical of the classic Terlan. Add to that, even subtle nuances of lemon and mint.On the palate, the white wine is invogorating but very soft. He also impresses with its freshness, minerality and great length.The grapes for the wine were picked and selected by hand. Stations of the winemaking-process: slow fermentation at controlled temperature in stainless steel; storage and ripening for 5-7 months on the lees in stainless steel tanks; finally, the assemblage a month before bottling.At about halfway between the cities of Merano and Bolzano is the wine-village of Terlan. The history of the South Tyrolean Cantina Terlano dates back to 1893. Over this long period Cantina Terlan has built an excellent reputation. Terlan Lagrein DOC

Lagrein DOC in matured 7-10 month in large wooden barrels. The 100% Lagrein from the winery Cantina Terlan has a dark garnet color. On the nose, intensely fruity. Notes of dried cranberries and sour cherry are complemented by a floral scent of lilac. Nuances of chocolate complete the complex bouquet. On the palate, juicy and harmonious, with a fine texture and delicate tannins. This full-bodied wine from South Tyrol is ideal to braised lamb shank, beef roulades with mashed potatoes or braised venison. Also with hard cheeses, like a ripened Parmesan, a delight.

San Marzano Sessantanni Primitivo di Manduria DOP

Production area: Selected vineyards of Neviera and Casa Rossa, located in San Marzano district. The soil is mainly “terra rossa”, with a fine texture and generally a calcareous undergound with a few emerging rocks. The well-known redness of these soils is due to the presence of iron oxides. The climate is characterised by high temperatures all year round, very few rainfalls and a wide difference of temperature between night and day, which has a nice influence on the quality of grapes. This is the “classical” central area of d.o.c. ”Primitivo di Manduria” Harvest period: Third decade of August, first decade of September Vinification: Hand-harvested in small baskets.
