Das Castelli del Grevepesa gehört nach Ansicht des italienischen Weinspezialisten „Gambero Rosso“ zu den besten Genossenschaften in Italien. Hier wird modernste Technik mit Tradition vereint und die „Edelgenossen“ produzieren Weine auf höchstem Niveau.

Die Toskana grenzt im Westen gegenüber von Elba und Korsika-an das Mittelmeer und im Osten an den Apennin, der weiter im Norden seinen Bogen beschreibt und dadurch die Toskana auch im Norden begrenzt. Im Süden liegen Latium, Rom und der Mezzogiorno. An der Küste ist das Land flach, doch der größte Teil der Toskana ist hügeliger Natur. Meist sanft gewellt wachsen die roten Trauben bis auf eine Höhe von 165 m, die weißen bis 210 m ü. NN. Die Hügellandschaft schafft die kleinklimatischen Voraussetzungen für den Anbau hochwertiger Weine.
