Poggio Antico Rosso di Montalcino DOC

"Rosso di Montalcino 2020: fruity, floral, perfect for any Sunday brunch!" Thus, the Poggio Antico winery from Tuscany describes this single-varietal Sangiovese, which is truly a fine taste experience of outstanding quality.

The renowned wine critic Jane Anson, awarding 92 points, likewise leaves no doubt that the Poggio Antico Rosso di Montalcino is a wonderful Sangiovese from the heart of Italy, writing of “fragrant floral aromas that make your mouth water before you even take a sip" and “soft tannins, fresh and mineral, delicious salinity, with great juiciness on the palate, unfussy and delicious." Anson writes of a brilliant vintage in the region, offering genuine treasures among the value-priced wines.

You can look forward to another great vintage of Poggio Antico Rosso di Montalcino. With its typical notes of cherries and characteristic spice, the red wine from Tuscany is always an excellent choice. This Sangiovese matured in 500-litre French oak barrels for a year.

While it is delightful on its own, the Poggio Antico Rosso di Montalcino 2020 is also a fine companion to roast chicken or cod.
