Zenato Soave Classico

For years, Soave has been one of Italy’s most famous white wines. The wine owes its fame in particular to its good, usually consistent quality. It consists of 30% Trebbiano and 70% Garganega. A minor disadvantage of Soave is, however, that - due to the wine’s reputation – many wines are launched on the market, but only a few good ones.

Soave is an elegant, dry white wine, not too heavy, which goes beautifully with many occasions. Due to its attractive fruit aromas it shows a fresh and vivid acidity. The Soave should be enjoyed young, so that its quality can be fully appreciated.

Try this Soave with delicious salads, light fish dishes or simply on its own on the terrace on a warm summer day.

Zenato

This wine shows an excellent fullness, majestic aromas and an outstanding balance among all components, giving it ideal potential for prolonged ageing. The Zenato Amarone della Valpolicella Classico is a sensational masterpiece of taste and fragrance. The Amarone has an impressive elegance, ripe fruit and an inviting bouquet. It is ruby-red in colour and shows fine hints of aromatic herbs. On the palate, the wine is impressively powerful, with warm, rich nuances of wild cherry and chocolate. The Amarone is a little jewel in the range of Zenato wines. It is made of the excellent Corvina, Rondinella, Oseleta and Croatina grapes, which come from the Valpolicella Classico region from the municipalities of Sant'Ambrogio, Negrar, Pedemonte, Fumane, San Pietro in Cariano and Marano. The grapes are harvested and picked by hand and subsequently dried for a period of three months. As a consequence, much of the liquid evaporates, resulting in berries that are extremely rich in sugar. After fermentation, the wine matured for 30 months in oak casks and for a further 12 months in the bottle.

Zenato Bardolino Rosso DOC
The Zenato Bardolino DOC is a red wine from the region between Garda and Peschiera. It is made of the Corvina, Rondinella und Sangiovese grape varieties, with a maximum addition of 15% of Rossignola, Barbera, Sangiovese or Garganega grapes. Each grape variety is of particular significance for the Bardolino wine: Corbina provides strength and colour, while Rondinella determines the characteristically fresh taste and the aroma. Bardolino, distinguished by its fruity character, is a wine which is not too heavy.

Zenato Lugana Riserva "Sergio Zenato"
The fruit is from the Podere Massoni vineyards, with 15- to 20-year-old vines and a very low average yield of 2.5 kg per vine. Harvest occurs somewhat late, towards mid-October. Winemaking is carried out with extreme care. The wine is fermented in barriques for 3 weeks, then matured in small new oak for 4 months, followed by 6 months in steel and 6 months in glass before release. The wine exhibits a lively light gold, then opens to a rich, multi-layered nose featuring nuances of blossoms, citrus fruit, and vanilla. A beautifully balanced mouth offers stunning richness, then continues through into a remarkably long, savoury finale.A few years cellaring will be amply rewarded.

Zenato Valpolicella Superiore
The Zenato Valpolicella is somewhat similar to the Bardolino; however, the Valpolicella is a little more powerful and shows a fuller body – it is simply of better quality. The wine consists of Corvina Veronese (responsible for the bouquet and the acidity), Rondinella (lots of sugar) and Sangiovese (gives the wine its elegance). This is a wine that can be enjoyed young, but another few years of ageing in the wine cellar will further enhance its qualities. For years, Valpolicella has been one of Italy’s most famous wines. Unfortunately, one can find many Valpolicella wines of poor quality on the market but fortunately, we don’t have to worry about this as far as Zenato wines are concerned, as Zenato produces only high-quality wines.
