Churchill's 10 Years Old Tawny Port

Let’s just listen to Robert Parker’s assessment of the Churchill’s 10 Years Old Tawny Port: ‘Unquestionably the finest Tawny I’ve tasted in years. What makes it profound is its complex fragrance of roasted nuts and sweet fruit. There is impeccable definition and richness, a velvety texture and a long lusty finish. It is all a Tawny should be.’ Robert Parker finally awards 94 points to the Churchill's 10 Years Old Tawny Port.

The port wine is brick-red in colour with amber-coloured glints. It unites the complexity of age with a youthful freshness and acidity in perfection. The Churchill’s 10 Years Old Tawny Port consists of the Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz, Tinto Cão, Tinta Barroca, Touriga Franca and Tinta Francisca grape varieties. This Tawny was aged for about ten years in large oak casks. Enjoy the Churchill's 10 Years Old Tawny Port with mild, soft cheeses such as Brie and Camembert or fruitcake.

Graham’s "The Tawny" Reserve Tawny Port
The Symington family has been producing premium port wines in the Douro valley for five generations now. They put special emphasis on traditional production methods but by no means forget the innovations. The family is still directly involved in the production; the cellar master Charles Symington created this port himself.Graham’s The Tawny is his personal interpretation of a fine port wine aged in wooden casks. The Tawny matured for an average of 7-9 years in oak casks, and was partially blended with considerably older port wines in order to give it more complexity and character. This wine is well-balanced with the abundance of aromas of black and red fruit that wonderfully unite with notes of oranges, orange peel, cinnamon, figs, raisins and plums to create this outstanding taste experience. This amber-coloured port wine is exceptionally aromatic and full-bodied. It is lovely on its own as an aperitif, especially when it’s slightly chilled, or after a good dinner. The Tawny also goes beautifully with almond cake or crème brûlée.
