The Taylor's 20 Years Old Tawny Port is a flaming brick-red in colour, offering aromas of nuts and almonds in its wonderfully stimulating bouquet. The bouquet is complemented by rather subtle hints of spicy, ripe fruit like figs, prunes and baked apple. On the palate, the blend, consisting of traditional grape varieties such as Tinta Amarela, Tinta Cao, Tinta Roriz or Tinta Barocca, shows an impressive freshness, wonderfully underpinned by aromas of caramel and sweet fruit. The velvety tannins as well as the acidity are perfectly integrated. This is an extraordinarily harmonious, full-bodied and elegant port wine, showing a very great length.

This blend, consisting of port wines with an average age of at least 20 years, impressively shows the great complexity that distinguishes port wines in this category. The Ramos Pinto Quinta Do Bom Retiro 20 Years Old unites notes of grapefruit, apricots, almonds, hazel nuts and cocoa beans in its bouquet, complemented by nuances of cinnamon, caramel and coffee as well as aromas of vanilla and old port wine barrels, influenced by notes of wood. It is velvety, dry and initially elegant on the palate. The Taylor’s Late Bottled Vintage Port  unites notes of black fruit, herbs and nuances of liquorice and dark chocolate in its multi-layered bouquet, along with fine mineral aromas. The blend, consisting of the Tinta Roriz, Tinta Barocca, Touriga Nacional, Touriga Francesa and Tinta Cao grape varieties, is soft, velvety and simultaneously sumptuous and very dense on the palate, showing lots of body and offering spicy aromas of the bouquet’s dark fruit. The very aromatic finish is long-lasting, with a lingering spicy sweetness.The deep ruby-red port is a wonderful dessert wine to finish off an excellent meal.
