The Protea Sauvignon Blanc produced by Anthonij Rupert shows captivating notes of tropical fruit both on the nose and on the palate. This very fruity wine offers aromas of gooseberries, stone fruit, pears and guava, with a crisp, fresh and dry flavour and a vivid acidity. Notes of citrus fruit and pineapple predominate in the mouthfeel. The long finish is characterised by nuances of gravel and flint. The bottle is exquisitely lacquered and is ideally suited for later use as a decorative element.

Try the Protea Sauvignon Blanc with Greek salads with feta cheese. It goes also beautifully with grilled fish such as sardines, mackerels or giant gamba prawns.

The Protea Cabernet Sauvignon from the Anthonij Rupert Wines estate is a shining example of the quality of South African viticulture and offers fair value for money. The grapes for this wine come from the Groenekloof region located in the wine-growing region of Darling, where the days are warm and the nights are cool, so that there is a significant temperature difference.This, in combination with the dark red soils consisting of decomposed granite, gives the wine its unique mix of dark and red fruit aromas. The wine is wonderfully concentrated and soft, with a juicy tannin structure. The Protea Cabernet Sauvignon is round, soft, light and well-balanced on the palate, offering clearly noticeable, fruity aromas of plums, dark berries and cherries, along with fine notes of spices. The grapes for the Protea Chardonnay from the Anthonij Rupert estate come from different vineyards located in the wine-growing regions of Franschhoek and Robertson. The grapes of individual parcels of land were vinified separately and partly aged in French oak casks in order to give the wine a higher complexity and structure. In the end, all grapes were blended and bottled. On the nose, the Anthonij Rupert Protea Chardonnay offers aromas of blood orange, grapefruit and lemon. On the palate as well, the wine offers lively notes of citrus fruit and noticeable juicy aromas of blood orange and grapefruit. Due to its fresh texture, the wine is wonderfully juicy and fully developed. The Protea Chardonnay is an ideal accompaniment to all kinds of hearty salads. It also goes beautifully with Thai cuisine.

These soils provide ideal growth conditions for the Shiraz grapes. The wine is an intense dark red in colour.
