Barista Black

Barista Black ist ein Rotwein aus Südafrika, der zu 100% aus Pinotage Trauben vinifiziert wurde. Die Rebsorte Pinotage beruht auf einer Neuzüchtung von Abraham Isak Perold im Jahre 1925 an der Universität Stellenbosch. Es handelt sich um eine Kreuzung aus Pinot Noir (Spätburgunder) und Cinsault. Der Barista Black zeigt den ganzen Reichtum dieser Traube. Ein Pinotage wie er intensiver nicht sein könnte.

Die Trauben stammen von den besten Weinbergen des Westkaps. Der Wein wurde in einer Kombination aus Edelstahl- und Betontanks mit zwei sanften Pumpvorgängen pro Tag vergoren. Anschließend reifte er 16 Monate lang in Eichenfässern, wobei 20 % des Weins in neuen französischen Barriques ausgebaut wurde.

Der Barista Black duftet herrlich nach Pflaumen, Kirschen und Maulbeeren mit Anklängen an warme Backgewürze. Am Gaumen hat der Wein einen saftigen Fruchtkern und eine gute Konzentration mit samtigen Tanninen und etwas Eichenkomplexität. Der Abgang ist lang, glatt und angenehm trocken.

Dieser vollmundige Wein passt gut zu dunkel geschmorter Lammschulter auf Langkornreis mit Rotkohl-Speck-Kimchi oder gebratener Entenbrust und gemischtem Blattsalat und Kartoffelecken.

Beyerskloof Synergy Cape Blend
The Beyerskloof Synergy is the epitome of Cape wines. As one of the first of this type in South Africa, it unites the structure of Cabernet Sauvignon, the fruitiness of Pinotage and the softness of Merlot. A small percentage of Shiraz, Cinsault and Pinot Noir gives the Beyerskloof Synergy its spice and minerality.
