Boschendal Wines

Product recommendation

Boschendal 1685 Chardonnay
This bold statement wine is big on aroma and flavours, combining a lemony, cinnamon, nutmeg nose with zesty citrus and ripe tropical fruit on the palate. Well balanced the soft, buttery character; from barrel fermentation and maturation adds to the complexity and roundness of the wine. Ideally served with fish and shellfish, poultry and soft cheeses, this wine also complements rich, creamy sauces.

And this wonderfully refreshing, invigorating wine is not only one of the best rosés on the market in South Africa, but has a large number of loyal followers worldwide. The Rosé shines bright salmon pink in the bottle. Kanonkop Kadette Pinotage Rosé
The Kanonkop Kadette Rosé is an expressive yet elegant rosé wine from the Cape that reflects the quality awareness of the traditional Kanonkop wine estate in every bottle.Located in the picturesque wine-growing region of Stellenbosch, the Kanonkop family winery has made a name for itself internationally - not least thanks to the passionate cellar master Beyers Truter, who is already considered the "King of Pinotage" in South Africa. Today, Abrie Beeslaar is continuing the success story of Kanonkop's first-class red wines, which are grown on 100 hectares, with great dedication and meticulousness. Brothers Johann and Paul Kriege are the fourth generation to run the winery.Compared to typical rosé wines, Kanonkop Kadette Rosé has a remarkably full body and is a pleasantly dry wine. Wonderful floral notes and aromas of red berries such as strawberries, raspberries and cherries - so characteristic of Pinotage - await the connoisseur. Almost perfect conditions during the ripening phase of the grapes characterized a great vintage.Enjoy Kanonkop Kadette Rosé from South Africa with grilled salmon, tuna, sushi or light, aromatic curries, for example.

Spier Signature Sauvignon Blanc
The sauvignon loves the coolness of the nearby ocean, located only 25 km away from the vineyards of the sauvignon blanc. Thus, the average temperature here in the summer does not exceed about 22 ° C. In addition, opted for a planting on the southern slopes, which are in the southern hemisphere the coolest. This produces grapes with a wonderful freshness, perfect for a nice Sauvignon. By a slow cool fermentation process it gets his special fruit, so typical of sauvignon blanc. By a maturation on the yeast cells of a few months he will be extra strength and character, with a wonderful, exciting Sauvignon Blanc as a result.Colour: straw-yellowOpen aroma of passionfruit, pear and a hint of citrus, wonderfull aromatic. An open and exotic flavor of green figs, a hint of rhubarb, minerals and flint, with a large fresh finish.

Oude Kaap Rosé
Due to the increased demand for rosé wines, the decision was made to produce Oude Kaap Rosé. The dry wine from South Africa is made from Pinotage grapes. The wine has a light pink color due to the very brief contact of the juice with the skin of the berries. The rosé is a dry, but not off-dry wine. The fruit, especially strawberry and raspberry, remains in the soft finish.A wonderfully fresh and soft wine that is a great terrace wine in summer. In winter, we recommend the Oude Kaap Rosé as a base wine for making rosé mulled wine.
