The Bouchard Finlayson Walker Bay Sauvignon Blanc is - in terms of volume - the bestseller from the internationally award-winning South African winery Bouchard Finlayson. Connoisseurs appreciate the seductive, intensely fruity bouquet of this white wine from the Western Cape province.

Tropical notes of passion fruit, lemon, apples and figs characterize the complex bouquet. There are also nuances of blackcurrants, freshly cut grass and herbs. On the palate, the Bouchard Finlayson Walker Bay Sauvignon Blanc is dry and pleasantly soft, with great balance and an underlying salty minerality.

The Lanzerac Sauvignon Blanc consists of grapes that come from two different vineyards. One of the vineyards is already 19 years old and located 450 metres above sea level. The grapes from these vines give the wine its complexity. The vines that grow in the second vineyard are only 4 years old, giving the wine its freshness. In order to protect the grapes from heat stress, the harvest was carried out early in the morning. After repeated selection in the cellar, the grapes were pressed at a temperature of approximately 57.2 °F. The must remained in contact with the skin for about 6 hours. Subsequently, the wine was fermented at a temperature of 53.6 to 57.2 °F for a period of 10 days. On the nose, the Lanzerac Sauvignon Blanc offers various aromas such as notes of green apple, Asian fruit, pears, white peach and lemon grass. It is soft and creamy on the palate, showing an intense minerality and a surprisingly long finish.Thanks to its vivid acidity, the Lanzerac Sauvignon Blanc goes beautifully with goat’s cheese and seafood salads.
