The Lanzerac Cabernet Sauvignon is a classic South African Cabernet. With this wine, you get what you expect - reliability. The grapes come from vines that are between 11 and 22 years old. This is a good blend to reflect all aspects of the Cabernet in an excellent wine. With this Cabernet Sauvignon, the proverbial meticulousness of the Lanzerac estate ensures excellent quality at this price.

In other words, this wine is good value for money! On the nose, it offers typical notes of currants and dark cherries. The Lanzerac Cabernet Sauvignon is soft and supple on the palate, with a refreshing acidity, showing aromas of dark chocolate, dried tomatoes and olive pâté.

The restrained tannins allow the concentrated fruit to fully develop. Enjoy the Lanzerac Cabernet Sauvignon with succulent steaks or tangy cheeses such as ripe Gruyère or Cheddar.

Das Weingut Lanzerac Wine Estate ist als Perle unter den südafrikanischen Weingütern bekannt. Im schönen Jonkershoek Tal, am Standrand von Stellenbosch gelegen, blickt das Weingut auf eine lange Historie zurück. Bereits im Jahre 1692 wurde die Farm von Isaac Schrijver gegründet und zunächst unter dem Namen Schoongezicht, was wundervolle Aussicht bedeutet, geführt. Damit ist Lanzerac Wine Estate das drittälteste Weingut in Stellenbosch. Der erste Keller wurde um 1800 erbaut, gefolgt im Jahre 1830 von einem Herrenhaus im typischen kapholländischem Stil.

Im Jahr 1920 kam es dann zu einer großen Veränderung. Das Anwesen wurde von Elizabeth Catherina „Kitty“ English gekauft und in Lanzerac umbenannt. Mrs. English erfüllte sich damit einen Lebenstraum und investierte in den folgenden Jahren sehr viel Geld in das Weingut. Dies legte den Grundstein für eines der modernsten Weingüter am Kap. In der Folge kam es zu mehreren Besitzerwechseln. Alle neuen Eigentümer investierten glücklicherweise weiter in das Weingut. Sodass heute nicht nur Wein auf hohem Standard produziert wird, sondern auch ein 5-Sterne Hotel mit Restaurant und Spa-Bereich entstand.

Sollten Sie also einmal in Südafrika weilen, ist der Besuch von Lanzerac Wine Estate auf jeden Fall eine Empfehlung wert.

Barón de Ley Reserva Is made from grapes coming from our own vineyards in Mendavia (Rioja Baja). The climate in this part of Rioja, with clear Mediterranean influence, provides excellent maturations which, combined with a low yield viticulture (5.000 kgrs/Ha. aproximately), result in modern Riojas with a “mediterranean soul”; wines with combine remarkable power with the elegance and harmony that have always been characteristic of the Rioja wines. The wine was aged for 20 months in new american oak casks, and afterwards 24 months in bottle until arriving to its ideal moment for enjoyment. This wine has not been submitted to filterings or artificial stabilizations, which might result in the appearance of natural sediments in the bottle.With an attractive red ruby coulour with medium-high intensity, in the nose it suprises for a powerful fruit remarkably blended with traces from its noble ageing: coconut and toffee, evolving into seductive nuances of spices and mediterranean bush. The attack is truly powerful and develops in the mouth a pleasant sensation of volume and onctuosity with drives us to a long finish, nervous and fresh due to its optimum acidity, and bringing back an aftertaste with red fruits and again mediterranean bushes.

Die Reben dieses Rotweins sind 40 bis 45 Jahre alt und stehen auf kalkhaltigen Böden auf einer Höhe zwischen 500 und 800 Metern. Der Barahonda Barrica Monastrell Syrah hat eine rubinrote Farbe, die hell und klar im Glas leuchtet. Die Nase offenbar ein intensives Bouquet nach gereiften Früchten, Gewürzen, leichte Vanillenoten und etwas Zedernholz. Am Gaumen dominiert eine kräftige Mineralität. Ein Wein voller Saft und Kraft mit Noten von Pfeffer und Nelken. Durch die Reifung in französischen und amerikanischen Eichenfässern für einen Zeitraum von etwa 6 Monaten ist der Abgang kräftig und rund mit einem Geschmack nach Vanille und etwas Leder. Die sizilianische Rebsorte Nero d’Avola zeigt auf der größten Insel im Mittelmeer naturgemäß ihre ganze Qualität. Und so ist auch der Feudo Arancio Nero d'Avola Riserva ein Geschmackserlebnis, das Eindruck hinterlässt. Die Goldmedaillen bei den renommierten Wettbewerben Mundus Vini 2021 und Frankfurt International Trophy 2021 sprechen für sich. Der tief rubinrote Wein mit violettem Schimmer duftet nach dunklen Früchten (Brombeeren, Himbeeren und Kirschen). Das Bouquet wird darüber hinaus durch anregende Noten von Schokolade und Leder angereichert, sodass ein wunderbar einnehmender Duftstrauß entsteht. Am Gaumen ist der Feudo Arancio Nero d'Avola Riserva trocken, angenehm weich und gut strukturiert. Die geschliffenen Tannine sind gekonnt eingebunden, dazu ein lang anhaltendes Finale mit einem feinen Säurespiel und unterschwelligen Röstaromen.12 Monate reifte der sizilianische Rotwein in französischen Eichenfässern erster, zweiter und dritter Füllung. Zum Abschluss wurde der Nero d’Avola sechs Monate in der Flasche verfeinert.
