Product recommendation

Anima Negra AN/2
Mallorca’s autochthonous grape varieties Callet and Manto Negro and a smaller percentage of Shiraz unite to create the AN 2. This outstanding red wine, produced by Anima Negra, offers intense notes of red berries in its bouquet, along with fine wood aromas and nuances of vanilla. The AN 2 is wonderfully fleshy, sumptuous and very fruity on the palate, with a lovely spice and an extremely long finish. It matured for 12 months in barriques (70% made of French and 30% made of American oak), of which 35% were new and 65% were barrels with a maximum of three fillings. The deep cherry-red wine is a worthy ambassador for Mallorca’s viticulture. You can look forward to a real taste experience that has already convinced wine critics all over the world.

Marques de Riscal Blanco Rueda Verdejo DO

Anima Negra AN
The AN has earned the reputation of being one of Spain’s showcase wines within an impressively short period of time. The winemaker Anima Negra deliberately decided to cultivate grape varieties indigenous to Mallorca. The grapes for its outstanding wines come from vines that are more than 80 years old. This blend, consisting mainly of Callet and a smaller percentage of Manto Negro, offers notes of dark fruit (cassis, black cherries), tobacco, mocha, black pepper and vanilla in its fascinatingly multi-faceted bouquet, along with roast aromas. On the palate, the red wine is full-bodied and velvety, showing a charming structure, a great density, wonderfully integrated tannins and a long, fresh finish. The Anima Negra AN matured for 17 to 19 months in new French oak casks. This impressive red wine goes beautifully with strongly seasoned meat dishes and hearty cheeses. Anima Negra kept its promise and developed the potential of the indigenous Majorcan grape varieties, especially of the Callet red wine variety, to the fullest.

Aaldering Chardonnay Stellenbosch
The Aaldering Chardonnay has an intense bouquet offering notes of peach, lime and mandarin. On the palate, the white wine from the Devon Valley shows a lovely fullness, a creamy juiciness and a prolonged finish as well. This pure varietal Chardonnay consists of three components: the juice delivered by the freshly harvested grapes before they are pressed (‘free run juice’), the part of the wine which was fermented in second-, third- and fourth-fill barrels as well as the must which was aged in stainless steel tanks, making this blend a special taste experience. The Aaldering Chardonnay has a good ageing potential of 5 to 7 years. Enjoy this white wine from the Aaldering estate, which has been successfully producing wines in the Stellenbosch region since 2004, with salmon, lobster, crispy duck or veal. It is also an ideal accompaniment to Middle Eastern cuisine.

Bodegas Mas Alta Els Pics Priorat DOCa

Bodegas Armas de Guerra Mencia Crianza DO
This Crianza comes from the Bierzo region and is made from 100% Mencia grapes, an autochthonous grape variety from northwestern Spain. In recent years, more and more wonderfully elegant wines have been produced in this emerging region, one of which is the Armas de Guerra Mencia Crianza. The grapes for this wine come from bush vines that are between 65 and 85 years old and grow mainly on clay and slate soils. The vineyards are situated about 450 to 600 metres above sea level. Harvesting is done by hand. The wine was aged in stainless steel tanks and concrete barrels for almost 50 days before it matured for another 12 months in French oak casks. The Armas de Guerra Mencia Crianza is a deep cherry-red in the glass with light glints on the rim. The wine is redolent of ripe red and black fruit, along with noticeable mineral aromas and fine wooden notes. It is sumptuous, fresh and fleshy on the palate, with silky, supple tannins. The finish is characterised by notes of peppermint, once again underlining the wine’s special aromas. The Armas de Guerra Mencia Crianza is currently at the peak of its maturity but can also be enjoyed over the next three to four years. It is an ideal accompaniment to hearty meat dishes.
