Mauro Cosecha Tinto ist der Einstiegswein der Bodegas Mauro, wobei hier von Einstieg zu sprechen ist eigentlich völlig falsch. Qualitativ bringt dieser Rotwein höchsten Genuss ins Glas. Die Bodegas Mauro ist seit vielen Jahren für Ihre gleichbleibend hohe Qualität bekannt. Der zu 85% aus Tempranillo und kleinen Anteilen Syrah und Cabernet Sauvignon bestehende Wein ragt aus der Vielzahl der Weine aus Spanien deutlich hervor. Das belegen unter anderen die vielen jährlichen Auszeichnungen der Weinkritiker. Im Glas zeigt sich ein fast undurchdringliches Purpurrot. Die Nase ist unglaublich konzentriert und der Mauro Cosecha Tinto duftet herrlich nach schwarzen Früchten und exotischen Gewürzen. Am Gaumen mit klaren Primärnoten und präzisen Tanninen ausgestattet. Ein wunderbar feingliedriger geschliffener Wein, der durch mineralische Noten und satte Fruchtaromen überzeugt. Das Besondere des Weines, so beschreibt es Winzer Mariano Garcia, ist es eine bemerkenswerte Frische in Klang mit geschmeidiger Haptik zu bringen.

Durch die Reifung über 15 Monate in französischer und amerikanischer Eiche bleibt der Mauro Cosecha Tinto nicht nur im Abgang lange präsent, sondern drückt auch seine Langlebigkeit aus.

Barón de Ley Reserva Is made from grapes coming from our own vineyards in Mendavia (Rioja Baja). The climate in this part of Rioja, with clear Mediterranean influence, provides excellent maturations which, combined with a low yield viticulture (5.000 kgrs/Ha. aproximately), result in modern Riojas with a “mediterranean soul”; wines with combine remarkable power with the elegance and harmony that have always been characteristic of the Rioja wines. The wine was aged for 20 months in new american oak casks, and afterwards 24 months in bottle until arriving to its ideal moment for enjoyment. This wine has not been submitted to filterings or artificial stabilizations, which might result in the appearance of natural sediments in the bottle.With an attractive red ruby coulour with medium-high intensity, in the nose it suprises for a powerful fruit remarkably blended with traces from its noble ageing: coconut and toffee, evolving into seductive nuances of spices and mediterranean bush. The attack is truly powerful and develops in the mouth a pleasant sensation of volume and onctuosity with drives us to a long finish, nervous and fresh due to its optimum acidity, and bringing back an aftertaste with red fruits and again mediterranean bushes.

Die Trauben für den Palacio de Primavera Reserva stammen von weingutseigenen Rebanlagen in der Gemeinde Alfaro. Dort herrscht ein kontinentales Klima mit mediterranen Einflüssen. Die 45 Jahre alten Reben werden von Winzer Gorka Etxebarria mit besonderer Behutsamkeit gepflegt. So kann dieser wunderbare Wein entstehen. Er verwendet für die Reifung des Rotweins sowohl französische als auch amerikanische Eichenfässer.Schon die Farbe ist ausdrucksstark, ein tiefes Rubinrot mit wunderschönen glänzenden Reflexen. In der Nase finden sich rauchige Noten, gepaart mit Noten von Gewürzen und Kräutern. Dazu kommen Aromen von Pflaumenmarmelade und ein Hauch von Zedernholz und Schokolade. Am Gaumen ist der Palacio de Primavera Reserva rund und voll, mit einer herrlichen Frische und Sanftheit. Der intensive und langanhaltende Geschmack wird eingerahmt von reifen Tanninen und hochwertiger Eiche. Burgo Viejo Palacio de Primavera Reserva ist ein Rioja mit einem unglaublichen Preis- Leistungsverhältnis. There are quite a few people who claim that Aalto wines represent the best of Spanish viticulture in the Ribera del Duero region. Every year, the Aalto wines are once again compared to those produced by the Vega Sicilia estate, and the Aalto wines often win by a nose. For more than 30 years, Mariano García Fernández, the founder of the Aalto winery, was responsible for the wines produced by the Vega Sicilia estate, of which he was the Technical Director. With his own Bodega Aalto, García Fernández wants to achieve the best result without losing respect for the grapes. In creating his wines, he strives for the maximum expression of the terroir, uniting structure and power with elegance and complexity. The Aalto was characterised by a warm winter’s end and an early spring with early flowering. Sufficient rain in summer and a dry autumn led to grapes of an optimal quality. The grapes come mainly from very old vines that are up to 80 years old.The pure varietal Tempranillo (in the Burgos and Valladolid region better known as Tinto Fino) is a cherry red in colour. The wine offers fine notes of spices on the nose, along with light flavours of well-integrated wood. On the palate, the Aalto is wonderfully fresh and dense. Notes of tobacco, coffee and subtle aromas of liquorice reveal the unique style so typical of this Aalto. Due to its soft and round character, the wine can already be enjoyed young. Owing to the soft, enclosing tannins and a good acidity, the Aalto will increase its complexity over the coming years. The ageing of the wine in half new and half used barrels ofAmerican and French oak ensures that it will store well in the bottle. Enjoy the Aalto with a lovely beef roast or simply on its own in front of the fireplace.

This red wine is a pure Tinta de Toro. This is the name of this special variety of the Tempranillo grape, which achieves unmistakable qualities under the conditions of the Toro region. Even the bouquet of the Pintia Toro captivates connoisseurs with its complexity. Notes of blackcurrants and cherries interact impressively with nuances of dark chocolate and coffee. Gutiérrez says: "The nose is very expressive, with bright cherry fruit." The wine is fresher than the norm in the region, with well-integrated oak, floral and perfumed.On the palate, the top wine from Bodegas Pintia, located around 100 kilometers west of Vega Sicilia, is dry and intensely aromatic, with a medium body. The winery itself describes it as probably the "fruitiest Pintia" to date. Minerality, barrique aromas and fruitiness (blue berries) create an enchanting interplay.The impenetrable pupur-colored Pintia Toro matured for 10 months in French and American oak (18%), with more than 80 percent new barrels being used. The grapes come from vines that are on average around 35 years old. Bodegas Pintia itself states that the bottled Tempranillo can be stored for up to 15 years and should be enjoyed at a drinking temperature of 18 degrees. We hope you enjoy it!

The Torre Muga Rioja unites notes of ripe, dark fruit, black pepper and mineral nuances in its bouquet, along with notes recalling undergrowth. The blend, consisting mainly of Tempranillo and smaller percentages of Mazuelo and Graciano, is velvety on the palate, with soft tannins and an elegant acidity. The finish is characterised by fine hints of liquorice and pepper. Luis Gutiérrez awards this wine an impressive 94 points in Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate. The Torre Muga Rioja matured for a total of 24 months in oak casks, 18 months thereof in new French oak casks. Try this excellent red wine with hearty red meat and game, for example.
