Torres Ibéricos DO Rioja

In the glass a bright cherry red.

In the nose an intense, opulent bouquet with aromas of sweet ripe dark berries and cherries next to warm spicy hints of cocoa and nutmeg, which result from the maturation in oak barrels.

On the palate, extremely seductive with noticeable but soft tannins, and a fine spice in the lingering long final.

Perfect with grilled or roasted meat, tangy and spicy stews, Iberian ham or sausage and smoked cheese.

Familia Torres

Torres Sangre de Toro DO Catalunya
In the year 1954 my father, Miguel Torres, was already seeking out the most prized red grapes of the region, Garnacha and Cariñena, to create a different wine that would express the authentic character of the land. This led to the birth of "Sangre de Toro", whose name is inspired by Baccus, Roman god of wine, known in ancient times as "Son of the Bull".Deep ruby colour with a hint of ochre. Rich complex Mediterranean aromas with exuberant notes of spices and blackberries. Velvety tannins are noted on the palate with elegant flavours of licorice and small dark forest fruits.Perfect with stews, game, meat paellas and traditional mountain cuisine.

Barón de Ley Reserva
Barón de Ley Reserva Is made from grapes coming from our own vineyards in Mendavia (Rioja Baja). The climate in this part of Rioja, with clear Mediterranean influence, provides excellent maturations which, combined with a low yield viticulture (5.000 kgrs/Ha. aproximately), result in modern Riojas with a “mediterranean soul”; wines with combine remarkable power with the elegance and harmony that have always been characteristic of the Rioja wines. The wine was aged for 20 months in new american oak casks, and afterwards 24 months in bottle until arriving to its ideal moment for enjoyment. This wine has not been submitted to filterings or artificial stabilizations, which might result in the appearance of natural sediments in the bottle. With an attractive red ruby coulour with medium-high intensity, in the nose it suprises for a powerful fruit remarkably blended with traces from its noble ageing: coconut and toffee, evolving into seductive nuances of spices and mediterranean bush. The attack is truly powerful and develops in the mouth a pleasant sensation of volume and onctuosity with drives us to a long finish, nervous and fresh due to its optimum acidity, and bringing back an aftertaste with red fruits and again mediterranean bushes.

Les Jamelles Mourvèdre
The Mourvèdre from Les Jamelles has a deep red color with purple hues. The grape is an almost forgotten or little known local variety, which makes talking on its own with outstanding results. At the first taste impression he is very fruity, with strawberry, peach and currants aromas. The wine shows spicy scents such as marzipan, honey, lavender, thyme and Laurel and - just a touch of - roasted meat. The palate is surprisingly long and fat with a well-balanced tannins. The almost sweet finale leaves a mild, velvety impression. With 17 - 18 ° C to cheese, especially goat cheese and serve meat dishes such as pepper steak and game.IWSC: Silver Medal "Best in Class" Mourvèdre 2009Expovina 2009: Gold MedalJapan Wine Challenge 2009: Silver Medal
